Dearest readers, The time has come to see how our bets turned out after the social season has come to a close. Consider the household of Roosevelt Pratt Jr. and Constance Pratt whose eldest daughter has been courted for the last 8 years by the most charming Paul F. Carter, IV. This author finds herself compelled to share the most exciting news! It seems that after an extensive courtship by Mr. Paul F. Carter IV, the diamond of his season has been found! As such, an even rarer jewel of only the most remarkable brilliance, fire, and luster has been unearthed. Her name, Miss Kayla Pratt. The betrothed met 9 years earlier in Greensboro, NC, on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University, as members of the Blue and Gold Marching Machine. The two took such a liking to each other, and a strong foundation of friendship was formed through the sound of music. Not long after, the young 19-year-old Paul, asked Miss Pratt for her hand in courtship and they began their journey to be wed ever since. Through many years of waiting, the Houses of Rowlan-Carter and Malone-Pratt grew concerned as time is of the essence, but the two lovebirds took their time with their ever-changing goals, jobs, and hobbies. The betrothed regularly traveled over 350+ miles each way to see each other for only but a weekend, and some would say distance took quite a toll on their relationship. However, the young couple persevered and on the 15th day of May of 2021, Paul F. Carter IV gathered both families at the Fayetteville Botanical Gardens, and proposed a life of love and happiness to his young bride who answered with a resounding yes! From ages nineteen to now eight-of-twenty, I presume this couple to have an even stronger marriage. And so.. it is with great pleasure that I announce to you all, the wedding of Kayla Pratt and Paul F. Carter IV on the 3rd of June in the year 2023.
