Crux is an absolute MUST while you are in Bend! With tons of outside seating, food carts, and a huge yard, it is a staple for couples and families alike. It's our favorite sunset spot. Not into beer? They have some great small batch whiskey too.
Bend Brewing is in the heart of downtown and has a large outdoor area right along the river. This is a great spot for a quick local beer while exploring downtown!
Monkless has a vast assortment of Belgian Ales and is a fun changeup to the normal PNW beer scene. We love splitting their flight of 12 so we can try everything! Don't miss out on their Bavarian Pretzel or Brat Board either.
We like to think of this spot as one of Bend's hidden gems. It's a bit off the beaten path but always has seats for a big group, great beer, food carts, and live music on the weekends!

Smith Rock State Park is world renowned not only for it's incredible views but it's climbing scene. Located 45 minutes outside of Bend, it is very accessible for families and experienced hikers. It's only .4 miles walk to get to the iconic photo spot, but for those that want a bit of a challenge we recommend these 2 hikes: Misery Ridge and River Trail Loop (3.6 mi) Misery Ridge and Summit Trail Loop (6.2 mi)
If you have some extra time and are feeling adventurous, make a trip out to Crater Lake (2.5 hrs from Bend). It is the deepest lake in the United States (9th in the World) and is an iconic Oregon destination. Feel like jumping in? Take Cleetwood Cove Trail down to the rim and there's a spot to cliff jump :) There's also tons of hiking if that's more your thing!
Tumalo Falls is a popular waterfall hike ~25 min from Bend. You can walk .5 miles to see the Falls or turn that into a 6 mile loop. Make sure to get there early because parking fills up quick!
This 4-mile out and back hike (20 min from Bend) takes you to the top of Tumalo Mountain where you can see the 4 main mountains all in 1 view: Mt. Bachelor, South Sister, Middle Sister, and North Sister!
