Yes, we have a waterfall in Minneapolis proper! We love this park. You can walk down the falls and all the way down to the Mississippi. We highly recommend stoping for a beer or a snack at Sea Salt -- the seasonal restaurant within the park, adjacent to the falls.
The historic Stone Arch Bridge is a pedestrian-only bridge that offers great views of the Minneapolis skyline and the mighty Mississippi. We recommend that you get dropped off/park on Main Street and stroll along the cobblestone street to the bridge. We highly recommend having a cocktail at Aster Cafe.
Lake Harriet Bandshell Park is a perfect place to relax and enjoy one of Minnesota's famous lakes. And yes, it is right in the city! There is frequently live music being played at the bandshell as well as beers and cheese curds being served. You can even get on the water by renting a kayak, canoe, or paddleboat.
Yes, the Twins will be in town the weekend of our wedding! They're scheduled to play the Mets Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
