The dress code for our ceremony and reception is semi-formal attire, meaning suits and dresses. With the exception of t-shirts, shorts, and jeans -- we just want you to be comfortable enough to get on the dance floor!
We love your kids -- we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!
Our wedding is RSVP only. Only those addressed on invitations are welcome to attend.
At the Basilica you may park in the lot on the west side of the church under I-94. All spots are free, with the exception of the "reserved" spots closest to Hennepin Ave. Street parking is also available. At the Van Dusen Mansion, there is a parking lot that abuts the mansion on the west side. Cars enter the lot via Pillsbury Ave. Vehicles cannot be left at the venue overnight, please plan accordingly.
No, unfortunately we will not be providing transportation between the ceremony and the reception however the two locations are very close! If you are wearing comfortable shoes you could make the walk no problem. If not, it's just a short 3 minute drive or Uber ride away.
You will see this symbol that is commonly used as a decoration symbol of marriage in Taiwan throughout our invitations and other decorations. 囍 is also known as "double happiness" because it is comprised of two copies of the Chinese word for happiness, or "喜". It also looks like two people standing next to each other. 囍 symbolizes that marriage is two happy people; two equal parts of the same whole.
