The proud product of home schooling and youth theater, this ham of a man, hails from Madison WI. Born some 35 years ago, Patrick has wandered the globe searching for his mermaid. From Shanghai to Sidney he found dragons and kangaroos, but he would come up empty handed until he looked a little closer to home. There she was, flying around beneath the canopy of and ancient oak in his own home town, her long hair braided down her muscular back. He couldn't believe his eyes. Then nothing really happened for a while. But then, though some miracle, he stumbled, nay bumbled, across her dating profile. Eureka! But, because of Bumble's communication protocols all Patrick could do was click "Like" and hope she noticed. And nothing happened... And nothing kept happening... Time was running out before the flimsy connection through the ether expired entirely. Patrick gave up hope and stopped checking the site. Then, at the 11th hour, she messaged him! Thank goodness! A first date was arranged. It was good. Then stuff happened and they got engaged. Professionally, Patrick is an ER nurse and relapsing firefighter/paramedic. He would prefer to be an astronaut but is much better at photoshop then he is a physics. His real passions are illustrating and writing books, climbing with friends and flying with Jade.

Bride
A native to southern California, Jade wandered far and wide searching for career, community, and maybe most importantly, that special someone. San Francisco, Chicago and New York each had a great deal to offer, but nothing felt like home the way this little isthmus city did. Finally ensconced in the Madison circus community, it's no surprise that it would be a Madison native who would sweep her off her feet. Jade earns a living as a User Experience (UX) designer who works from home with the best furry coworkers, Toba & Meru (the cats) and Pippa (the dog). Her career in food science is over, but her passion for food lives on. She grows hundreds of pounds of vegetables and fruits each year from her little east side garden, which is transformed into delicious meals and fabulous desserts in between Jade's work meetings. Out of the house, you can find Jade flying with her aerial dance company (Cycropia) or at the Madison Circus Space, rehearsing, directing, training or just hanging out with the best people in Madison. Jade is also not actually an astronaut, but she's fine with that. Life on Earth is pretty darn good, and also, she is positive she would get space-sick.
