Logistics (start here!)

Overview of Events Saturday (6/29): The Saturday evening welcome drinks will be hosted in Porto, which is the closest city & airport to our venue. We suggest spending the night in Porto and saving a day or two to explore the city. There are a ton of fantastic hotels in Porto - we loved our stay at the Vincci Ponte de Ferro, but any hotel in the Ribiera or Vila Nova de Gaia neighborhoods will be fantastic! Sunday: (6/30) P + S will head to Braga and share the day with family. Guests choice whether to stay the night in Porto, or head to Braga in preparation for the next day! Hot tip for those with a rental car: we suggest a day trip to Duoro Valley wine region (1 hr from Porto), and then staying the night in Duoro or Braga. Monday (7/1): Our wedding venue is in a town called Prozelo, within the state of Braga, and is about 50 minutes outside of Porto. Our hotel suggestions include two hotels in downtown Braga. Ubers from Porto to Braga are easy to come by and affordable (~40 Euros). There is also a train from Porto to Braga (37 min, $29). If you're planning to do any other day trips around the area (such as the world famous Duoro wine region) we highly suggest a rental car. There will be transportation to and from downtown Braga and the wedding venue. We have recommended a variety of hotels in the next sections. Please pay attention to their location to ensure you're booking a hotel in Porto for the welcome drinks (6/29) and a hotel in Braga for the night of the wedding (7/1). (You may opt to stay in Porto the entire time, but transportation from the wedding venue will only be provided back to Braga.) Flight

Closest airport - Porto (OPO)

Although Porto (OPO) is the closest airport, you may choose to fly into Lisbon and rent a car to drive - it's about a 3 hour drive from Lisbon to Porto. Alternatively, there is also a train that could take you from Lisbon to Porto, with itineraries ranging from 2.75 hours to 5.5 hours.

This is one suggested hotel in Porto with fantastic views and a great breakfast buffet. Pascale & Spencer loved their stay here when they first visited Porto.

Hotel Vila Galé Collection Braga (for wedding)

This four-star hotel is in downtown Braga and is about 20 minutes from our venue. Though not as modern as the Melia in Braga, many might prefer this hotel's walkability to explore the bars/restaurants in downtown Braga. We suggest staying in Porto on June 29th, and Braga on July 1st. It is up to you where to stay on June 30th. This five-star hotel is about 15 minutes from our venue, and is the more modern hotel option in Braga. The promo code is active for bookings starting June 30th - July 3rd. The code doesn't give a specific % off, it just guarantees specific rates: 119 Euros for a Single room (meaning 1 person!), or 139 Euros for a double/twin room.
