For our wedding day, we are requesting that our guests arrive in semi-formal attire. While we anticipate daytime temperatures to be in the 60s and 70s, evenings can quickly drop to the 30s in Vail, so we recommend bringing a jacket or additional layers.
We plan to have the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors as long as the weather cooperates. The wedding reception will be held indoors at the Donovan Pavilion. The welcome party on Friday night will also be held outdoors.
We have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event. Vail is a great family-friendly town, so for those bringing the kids along for a fun weekend in the mountains we kindly ask that your coordinate childcare for the wedding events. We appreciate your understanding!
For those staying at the Grand Hyatt Vail, the wedding venue is a 5 to 7 minute walk away on a scenic walking path along the Gore Creek. Your hotel welcome bags will provide a map with directions to guide the way. For those driving to the Donovan Pavilion, there is a large parking lot with free parking.
Of course! Vail has plenty of great places to stay. We are recommending the Grand Hyatt Vail due to the room block rate, walking distance to the wedding venue, and great amenities such a free shuttle to and from Vail Village and Lionshead Village. If you choose to stay in a different hotel, please note transportation will not be provided to the welcome party or wedding.
