Barton Springs Municipal Pool
A large natural spring just outside the city, where the water is a brisk 70 degrees year round! A great place to spend some time in the sun, and jump in to cool off after a walk on the trail or at Zilker Park.
Zilker Metropolitan Park
A beautiful park where you can get some sun, see the city, and enjoy the company of a few friendly doggos! This is where the famous Austin City Limits music festival is hosted every year.
Zilker Botanical Garden
This is where Walker proposed! Beautiful garden with koi ponds, a butterfly garden, and views of the city.
South Congress Avenue
A great place for shopping, dining, and people watching! A few of our favorites include Aba Mediterranean Restaurant, Lucky Robot Sushi, Jo's Coffee (This is where the infamous "I love you so much" mural is located), and Amy's Ice Cream.
Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail
This is where Misty enjoys long walks, and Emily enjoys morning runs! There are many routes you can take, but we recommend crossing the Pfluegerville pedestrian bridge to get the best views of the city! This trail runs along the outskirts of Lady Bird Lake where you can paddleboard or rent kayaks.
Butler Pitch & Putt
A historic and fun par 3 and below, mini golf course! All you need is a pitching wedge and a putter. Don't worry you can rent clubs here, but look ahead at their live camera to know if there is a long wait- this place gets busy on the weekends!
The Rustic Tap
Our favorite bar in Austin! You can expect live music, and cold beer :)
Nickel City
Our favorite dive bar in Austin! The sliders here are our favorite burgers on the planet! They have lots of fun drink options.
The White Horse
If you are looking for some true Texas two-stepping, this honky tonk is the place to go. It isn't the fanciest place around, but this dive bar is a fun spot to get your dance on!
P6 at the LINE Austin
A great rooftop bar to watch sunset. Emily & Walker have had many date nights here, and Walker even considered proposing at this location!
Terry Black's Barbecue
Our favorite BBQ joint in Austin! We always get the mac and cheese.
Walton's Fancy & Staple
This is a wonderful lunch spot that also has baked goods, coffee, and flowers! This place is actually owned by Sandra Bullock (who is also an Austin resident!)
24 Diner
Our favorite breakfast restaurant! This place does not take reservations and can fill up around brunch, but it does open at 7am! Great for anyone who is an early bird.
Nervous Charlie's Bagels
Emily & Walkers guilty pleasure! If you decide to make the trek here, order ahead online, and expect long wait times... we promise it is worth it!
Home Slice Pizza
Our go-to order is a garlic and pepperoni pizza with side of ranch!
Loro
Asian BBQ fusion restaurant by the owners of Uchi (sushi) and Franklin's (BBQ). Fun atmosphere and a great place to sit outside. We love the frozen mojito here!
Merit Coffee
Favorite coffee shop in Austin! Emily & Walker do not actually drink coffee, but Emily enjoys ordering a London Fog while Walker likes their breakfast tacos.
JuiceLand
The best smoothie spot in Austin! Emily likes to add a dragonfruit swirl to her ever-changing order, and Walker loves the Peachy Green smoothie.
Gourdough's Donuts
If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to go! Walker and Emily have had many date nights that ended with sharing a Gourdough's donut. Their favorite is the "Sin a Bomb" a donut with cream cheese icing topped with melted butter and cinnamon sugar. Yum!
Amy's Ice Creams
Located right on South Congress, this Austin classic has been around since 1984. They are famous for their Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream, but Emily usually goes for the Strawberry cup while Walker orders the Oreo cone with sprinkles.
