When should I arrive?

Answer

For family and wedding party guests, please arrive on the evening of Thursday, June 1st. You are invited to a Wedding Party Hike on Friday, June 2nd beginning at 10:00 AM. We will have a welcome party for all guests at 7:30 in the evening on Friday June 2nd at 11th Street Station in downtown Durango. The wedding will begin at 4 in the afternoon on Saturday, June 3 at Ridgewood Event Center.

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will be uncovered outdoors. Dinner will be held under a large tent. The dance afterward will be in a small reception hall. There are space heaters for the tent but we suggest you bring a coat or shawl and expect a cooler mountain evening.

What should we do while we are in town?

Answer

Hiking: Goody's rest and Purgatory Flats are solid hiking options and are doable currently (everything else is still snow covered) Sightseeing: Mesa Verde National Park is close by, also simply driving north up 550 is very scenic. The drive to Silverton or Ouray is strongly recommended if not a little scary Dining/Drinking: Steamworks, Carvers Brewing, Ska Brewing, 11st Street Station (food trucks), Animas Brewing Company, Strater Hotel. You can't really go wrong

What’s the best way to get around?

Answer

Rental cars will give you the most freedom to choose your activities before the wedding. We will have shuttles available to bring guests to and from the wedding venue on Saturday. Downtown Durango is very walkable, which is something we love about it! The historic Trolley is also a charming option for getting around town.
