Redmond is a pretty quiet town. There's not much to do, so we head over to Black Raven. Extremely tasty brews with nuanced flavors that are best served from the tap. Also a slightly dismal atmosphere. If you're looking to burn some time, I'd suggest coming here.
Restaurant that puts out a high volume of dim sum so you know it's fresh. No carts, just tables and a kitchen. Don't forget the dessert bun.
Visiting Pike place is the quintessential Seattle activity. Cool shops, views, and vocal fish mongers.
One of our favorite hikes. Lots of evergreen trees.
The ORIGINAL Costco. Where 'Kirkland Signature' started.
Commonly referred to as the 'bins,' this place sells clothes by the pound. Excellent thrifts to be found. But be warned -- the clothes will be dirty and potentially wet. The scalpers who resell vintage clothing can be aggro, especially when a new bin of clothes is carted out.
Excellent view of the city.
Impressive glass sculptures made of visually interesting shapes. Chihuly wears an eye patch and his students say he's taken credit for their work.
