We first met in 2016 at an Anna Maria College music therapy alumni jam. Years went by, seeing each other in passing at various music therapy community events. Fast forward to June of 2020 - we both were living in the Worcester area, and one day Matt saw Olivia on a dating app. We had been Facebook friends for years, so Matt Facebook messaged Olivia to ask if she wanted to go on a date to play music at the Wachusett Reservoir. We immediately connected, surrounded by music and nature, and the rest is history!

Being somewhat non-traditional humans, we both felt it was important for each of us to have a chance to propose to the other person. We picked out our rings together in 2022 and each waited for the perfect time to "pop the question". In the fall of 2022, during our last camping trip of the season, we hiked up to Glen Boulder, a giant rock perched on a trail leading to Mt. Isolation, just below Mt. Washington. This hike has a special place in our hearts, as we had hiked it together in 2020 during peak fall foliage week, just a few months after we started dating. When we got to Glen Boulder, Olivia pretended like she had no idea what was happening while Matt got down on one knee, surrounded by the fall foliage, and asked Olivia to marry him. A few days later, Olivia took Matt to their first-date spot at the Wachusett Reservoir to play music and look at the foliage and asked Matt to marry her.
