For information on transportation, lodging, registry, and local activities, please refer to the "Travel," "Registry," and "Things to Do" sections of the website, via the Navigation Bar.
Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Cocktail attire could include cocktail dresses, little black dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits or dark blazers and slacks. The ceremony is outdoors and the grass can be a little soft, so you might want to rethink stilettos!

Question

What is the weather like in Alaska in late August?

Answer

Expect highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s, with temperatures close to freezing overnight. The weather can change quickly, so consider the possibility of rain.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors on the back lawn. Cocktail hour will be on the patio, and the reception will be inside the lodge. If the weather is nice, we'll have the garage doors open!

Question

What should I expect for parking?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking available on the runway at the wedding venue. For guests who may require assistance getting from the parking area to the ceremony location, our ushers will provide a ride in a golf cart.

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Yes, the cocktail hour and reception will include an open bar with selections of beer, wine, seltzers, and mixed drinks. The Welcome Social (Thursday evening) and After-Party (Saturday night) are BYOB.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home or with a sitter so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Are masks, vaccines, or COVID tests required?

Answer

Alaska does not have any active mask mandates, COVID vaccination requirements, or testing requirements to enter the state. Our guest list includes people of varying COVID vaccination status. We welcome guests to practice the precautions which make them feel most comfortable.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

While we're excited to see everyone's pictures (*hint hint* #OfficiallyOstheimer), we ask that pictures not be taken during the ceremony in order to not interfere with our amazing photographer. During the reception, please take as many pictures as you'd like but be aware of our photographer that may also trying to capture the moment!
