Michael and Chelsea initially met in college at Bryant University through mutual friends, but never connected until a night in NYC years after graduating. They hit it off in the city that night and their weekends became quickly filled with Yankees games, nights out on Long Island (where Chelsea was living), good food in Providence (where Mike was living), visits to Boston (where Mike eventually moved to), trips to LI wineries and MTK beaches, boating from Mike's home state of CT to LI pretty much every weekend and frequent trips to Chelsea's home state of Maine. Even though they had to manage a long distance relationship that required traveling hours and hours in bumper to bumper traffic from LI to Boston they made the most of it and never looked back.
Even though they were having a blast making memories all over NY, CT, RI, MA and ME, they could only handle the long distance and traveling for so long...the mornings waking up at 4am to catch the first ferry to LI...the rush hour traffic trying to leave Boston on a Friday night....the daily phone calls and the being apart were taking their toll. After a year and a half of traveling from Boston to NY almost every weekend, they both came across career opportunities that brought them to Connecticut, where they bought their first home in Rocky Hill a few months later and currently live at today.
