Welcome to our love story!

Every year we have a Halloween party for charity at our Elks Club. I went as Patrick Star and Tony as SpongeBob. We were having a blast dancing and eating and just being with so many friends. About every hour or so announcements are made for raffles and such by the host. In the middle of the night, Tony goes up and takes the mic and starts talking about the raffles still up for grab and I’m thinking “Aw look at him going outside of his comfort zone!” Then he starts talking about me and calls me up. So I’m thinking “Aw he’s so corny! I love him!” Then he gets down on one knee and the room disappears and all I see is him. I can’t believe the man I am so in love with is asking me to spend the rest of our lives together. But the pain in my feet from the heels was a clear indicator that it was reality! The easiest yes of my life!

After my birthday I knew I wanted to fully commit to my best friend. I bought the ring in September 2022, and pinpointed the Elks event as the place to be. Not gonna lie, it was nerve wrecking on the condition of getting the details right. As I got the ring and went to the stage, nervousness transitioned into confidence. Cue the “Introducing the Krabby Patty” track and the room went black except for a spotlight on Ashley and a huge pop from the crowd in attendance. Ashley legit had zero clue and loved the surprise!!
