Although most of you know Jordan and I well, you probably don't know how we met! I was raised in a military family and moved around my whole life. When I was about to start high school we moved to Wesley Chapel, FL where I fell in love with color guard. After graduating, my band director and color guard instructors from Wiregrass Ranch HS hired me for my first teaching job. This would eventually lead Jordan and I to cross paths. Jordan was born and raised in Thonotosassa, Fl. He was a part of his marching band's drum line and taught there for a few years before he applied for a position at Wiregrass Ranch HS. After constantly trying to get us to acknowledge one another, our good friend Hilary's persuading finally worked. Jordan and I both owe a huge thank you to her! She saw something special between us even though we failed to at the time. Other than teaching together, Jordan and I also have a huge appreciation for Drum Corps, Winterguard and Indoor Percussion. He was and is a huge supporter of mine. He always shows up when he can and does anything in his power to help out my teams. Not only are Jordan and I best friends but we're partners in everything that we do and I couldn't ask for anyone better to experience life with.
Jordan and I got engaged in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire at the Mount Washington Hotel. We were on a family vacation for Christmas and there was so much snow! Let's just say Jordan got the full Bonnell Christmas experience and snowboarding is not his cup of tea. He does do a pretty great job on a set of skis though. Not only was this engagement an amazing surprise, but ever since I was a little girl, I have always talked about getting married at this specific resort. Of course, Jordan chose the next best thing, and asked me to marry him in front of my family! We are very excited about this next step in our lives!
