Beginning our relationship came down to one factor- having the courage to jump and follow our hearts. We met working at Epic Mountain Gear in Frisco , CO in 2018. I can only imagine the point of view of our friends at work as we developed our friendship each Friday and Saturday. To them I say thank you, for letting us get to know each other and flirt when we should've been working. And also, sorry for never moping the floors and instead sitting on the counter watching Trey count the registers. Each week I eagerly waited for an invite to grab a drink or a bite to eat, BUT only if others were joining. This of course , until it became too undeniable that spending time together was all we could dream of. After a date that ended in the most amazing shooting star sighting in the whole world- honest, it really happened like in the movies, we knew that making a definitive decision to be together was necessary. Within a week of officially dating, starting in June of 2019, we had each met each other's families. The knowledge that we were the real deal came the moment that star shot across the sky. In the years since we have moved, traveled, adventured, grown and narrowed down our core values and goals. Never once have we questioned our intentions in being together. Some things are just crystal clear. We laugh more and more each day and after witnessing each other become parents to our son Rowan, the deal was sealed. Parenthood has unveiled the best of ourselves and the partnership we have together. Trey proposed in February of 2022 at the spot of our first date and now as we plan our wedding it becomes clear that it is more a formality - to be able enter into a union together in every possible way, but to be honest, we gave each other our hearts a long long time ago!
