Casual Attire: Wear what you feel comfortable in; sundress, jeans, slacks, button down. Please note this will be a majority outside.
Come and go as you please during the Welcome Party. We will have small bites of famous KC BBQ, Backyard Games, Beer, Wine, and Non-Alcoholic Drinks. If you are so brave, we will provide a taste of our favorite Chicago staple, Malort. Please let us know if you will stopping by in the RSVP so we can gauge how much food to get. Only 2 miles from the hotel to Norm's! *For those driving, the city of Leawood will be putting up signs to ensure no parking on one side of the street. Please park on the other side so there is a pathway for cars to drive through. As Norm lives in a Cul-De-Sac, some of the parking will be on the main street as well.
3:15 pm - 3:30 pm
There will be 2 Shuttle Buses leaving The Element Overland Park. They will arrive at 3:15pm and depart at 3:30pm. We highly recommend taking this option especially if you plan on taking advantage of the open bar. The shuttle will depart the venue at 10:30 pm and return to the pick up location. Please note if you are not staying at the hotel and wish to take the shuttle, you are able to park in the hotel parking lot (near the back of the lot is preferred so guests can park closer to the hotel). If you wish to leave the venue sooner, you will need to drive. It is a 25-30 minute drive to the venue from the hotel and there is parking onsite. Please only RSVP for the shuttle if you plan on taking this option to ensure we have enough buses/seats.
4:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, suits. The venue is a majority outdoor with some uneven surfaces; wedges, flats, or block heels suggested for ladies.
The ceremony will begin around 4:30 with a cocktail hour directly following. Dinner will be plated, please make sure to select an option at RSVP. Party, Dancing, and Firepit after!
