Foundry Tavern
Always a favourite dining place in the recently renovated 'Gaslight District' of downtown Galt. We ate our first meal here as an engaged couple! Try their Beef Short Rib BonBons!
The Alps (Dryden Tract)
A go-to spot for Nomes and Becky and Bailey and Blu (their pups), Dryden Tract (or The Alps as it's affectionately known - for being on Alps road, not cos of its mountains!) is full of meandering forest trails. It can be easy to get lost or turned around, so use the All Trails map (link below). If you take the 'Big Loop', you can come out to a meadow overlooking the rolling hills of South Cambridge. Lots of people walk their dogs off-leash here so you'll likely make a lot of furry friends.
Monigrams Coffee Roasters & Cafe
Hailed by every Aussie who's ever visited Cambridge as "the best coffee outside Australia", we highly recommend Monigram's. A great place to visit with friends during your stay in Cambridge. Also, from here you can wander through the beautifully restored downtown Galt. Warning: it is super popular and gets really busy!
Riverside Park
Loads of trails winding through a suburban park, pickleball and tennis courts, and an accessible boardwalk through a wetland where you can see loads of Ontario birds.
