We met at the Washington D.C Christadelphian Chapel (Adelphi, MD) on October 11, 2023. Not so long ago, you may say! Nomes was instantly drawn to Michael and felt the kind of spark she'd only believed existed in movies. That night they enjoyed chatting about the Bible, their travels, dogs (Nomes' has an AussieDoodle girl called Bailey) and modern history and prophecy (nerd alert!). Nomes finagled a way to get her number to Michael and the communication began. After getting off a video call with him towards the end of October, she rushed to her best friend Becky to exclaim: "I met the man I'm going to marry!" Hundreds of hours of video calls later, a few short visits back and forth between Canada and the US, meeting each others' family and closest friends over video chat (and a few in person), Michael officially asked Nomes to date him on American Thanksgiving (Nov 23, 2023). She of course said yes, and would have married him the next day :). The story is only beginning.
