D and Nan met through Facebook. Somehow D appeared on Nan's timeline and he was liking her photos, she investigated his page and didn't know how they were "friends" because they had never met (Facebook said they had been "friends" for 2yrs), but he was a DJ and she knew several. D asked Nan to meet at Red Robin after he got off work one day and Nan thought it was a networking meeting since she had helped connect some of her other DJ friends with jobs. They met and had spinach and artichoke dip and mozzarella sticks, pretty casual. One day Nan asked D to go with her to Pinball Pete's so they could both relieve stress. (Later Nan learned that D's friend Mike apparently asked him if she was 12yrs old, because what adult wants to go to an arcade. .... Nan does, Mike. Nan does.) D asked Nan to meet early to grab food. D paid. They went to the arcade and Nan kept trying to buy the quarters for the games; however, D kept paying. After they were gamed out, (Nan won air hockey, Area 51, and the pop can gun shooting game, D beat Nan in basketball by one game - she's not competitive at all) they were leaving and D saw Insomnia Cookies across the street and was very excited. So, Nan offered to buy him some cookies since he paid for everything else and this was originally her idea to get his mind off stress in life. D said, "No! This is a DATE! You're not supposed to pay on a date!" Nan quickly responded. "This is a date?" D says, "Yes, it's like our FIFTH date!" Nan, "When were the other FOUR?!?" And the rest is history.

We also apologize that no additional guests are going to be invited due to restrictions on the number of people we are allowed to have gather indoors. We will be live streaming the wedding for everyone to be able to watch. We look forward to celebrating safely with everyone!

There will be a Tiger's baseball game across the street at 4pm which could cause traffic issues if you're planning to arrive before 5pm. You can park in the surface lot, entrance through the gate on John R. (If it's closed, just push it open to enter and close it when you pull in. We are trying to have someone there though.) The parking structure will have inflated rates due to the game traffic.
