Timing is Everything

We both grew up in Pennsylvania and our lives lead us parallel to one another for many years until it was the right time for us to meet. Dave grew up in Phoenixville, PA, which is 25 minutes outside of where Nicole attended college. We rock climbed at the same gyms in the area, just on slightly different timelines, so our paths never crossed (that we know of). We both lived in Maryland after leaving Pennsylvania, but Dave left the year that Nicole moved there. We climbed at the same climbing gym in Maryland, but again, our paths never crossed. In 2016 we both moved to Colorado and, you guessed it, we climbed at the same climbing gyms. It wasn’t until 2022 when we both, very reluctantly, went on a dating app that we actually met. We matched on the app less than 24 hours after Nicole made her profile. Our first date was a few days later and lasted 4 hours, as we had so many things to talk about! We lost track of time, but the date didn't end when the brewery started to close for the night! Nicole and Dave stood outside the brewery for another hour ~in the freezing cold~ just to keep talking. From that day on, neither of us have ever looked back. "When you know, you know!" Fast forward to taking on the world together: Dave proposed on May 1st, 2024 during a picnic birthday dinner for Nicole. There were so many tears. We are so excited to be married and spend the rest of our lives with love, joy, respect, and the support of one another!
