Red Rocks is iconic for so many reasons! The history alone is SO interesting. So many incredible musicians have played there throughout the course of history. I HIGHLY recommend going into the Visitor Center to learn more! Red Rocks is a 15 minute drive from the wedding hotel. There are hiking trails surrounding the amphitheater. See the website for a trail map. The park itself is open from sunrise to sunset every day for outdoor recreation. If you want to get into the amphitheater, I recommend going in the morning! It is open to the public for free self-guided tours but on an event day, the amphitheater will close around 2PM so they can prepare for the event.
Very easy hiking in the area. Good views of both Denver and the mountains. A 7 minute drive from the wedding hotel.
Easy hiking in the area. 15 minutes from the wedding hotel. Has a restroom at the trialhead. *Mount Falcon Park has multiple trailhead locations on the east/west side of the mountain. There are numerous trails that extend from each trailhead, so you can choose your own adventure if you wish.
If you need any last minute wedding accessories, forgot anything, or just want to shop, Colorado Mills Mall is 1 mile from the wedding hotel.
Golden is a cute mining town and home to Colorado School of Mines. There are tons of cute shops, restaurants, and bars/breweries. The entire town is about 0.5 miles and is very walking-friendly.
There is a lovely concrete walking path along the river, which is just beyond downtown Golden. You will typically see people practicing white-water rafting, kayaking, and paddle boarding. It’s very entertaining to watch!!
