Chris and I met through our mutual friend, Tyler. Tyler and Chris were living together at the time, and I would go to Pella and hang out a few times a week. We quickly became good friends and tried to keep in touch when Chris left for Minnesota to work.
After two years of friendship and attempting to keep in touch, Chris began spending time at the Oksy bowling alley. After work, I would go up to see Chris and other friends to hang out and relax. When I decided to spend the summer in Osky that year, living with our friend Tyler, we began to spend more time together. After dropping friend off at the airport, I met up with our friends in Pella and disc golfed together for a few hours. Chris and I hit it off and reconnected, and the rest is history.
Chris asked me to be his girlfriend in the early hours of the morning after spending the night eating at Mi Ranchito and watching movies. We quickly began to spend every day together, bowling, disc golfing, trying new restaurants, hanging out with friends, and going to sprint car races together.
Chris decided to take the next step and ask me to be his wife. This was the easiest yes in my life. After getting off work, we decided to hang a love lock on the half bridge on the Des Moines River in Pella. When we were walking down the bridge, we saw our friends Brandy and Joe. When I turned around, there was a sign that said "Will you marry me?"
