We met at one of our favorite places, Lake Wawasee. For those who don't know, Nick's grandma lives 1 door down from my parent's lake house. It took just one short weekend for us to fall in love!

Nick had told me that we had fancy dinner plans with a dealer from work who was in town that night. As I finished getting ready he told me to meet him outside when I was done. Me, taking forever like usual, made him wait outside down on a knee for several minutes as I had no idea it was coming. That then prompted him to yell "come quick look what Caddie (our puppy) is doing". I ran outside and there he is down on one knee. It was the last thing I was expecting and the best surprise ever!
