FAQs

Question

What are the COVID-19 Protocols?

Answer

Virginia has implemented a statewide mask mandate whenever in indoor public spaces and we ask that all guests abide by our local regulations. Masks will not be required to be worn while eating and drinking, but guests are expected to wear masks at all other times and on the dance floor. We also ask that guests wear masks while traveling in our provided transportation. In the state of Virginia, we can host events up to 250 people. We will have plenty of room in the ballroom to spread out tables and will have reduced capacity at each table.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Please no kids. We want the Moms and the Dads to have a fun, night/weekend away!

Question

Which airport should we fly in to?

Answer

The greater DC area has two airports (Dulles International- IAD and Reagan National - DCA). The hotel block/reception is at the Hilton Dulles and provides a free shuttle to and from the Dulles International airport. Dulles is the best/closet airport to our hotel block. DC's Reagan National Airport is located in Alexandria, VA right next to Washington, DC and depending on what time you fly you will get a great aerial view of the city and the monuments. DCA is approximately a 45minute drive to the hotel. Please note all drive times are subject to city traffic and rush hour times may affect the time it takes to get from one place to another.

Question

I'm From Out of Town, How Will I Get To The Church?

Answer

We will be providing transportation! We want to make this as convenient as possible. A lot of people will already be hopping on a plane to get here, we don't want you to need a rental car too! We will be providing transportation for guests without vehicles that will take you from the hotel to the church and back to the hotel for cocktail hour/reception.

Question

We want to stay closer to DC earlier in the week, where should we stay?

Answer

If you wish to stay closer to the city, we would recommend hotels in the Pentagon City/Crystal City (now called National Landing) area along with those in DC.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Attire is semi-formal/formal (depending on what website you are looking at) as a recommendation, but certainly not required. Please dress as you want/are comfortable. All activities are inside with Air Conditioning.

Question

If I rent a car to get around, what do I need to know about the roads?

Answer

If you rent a car, please text Katelyn at 319-230-7070 or Nick at 540-845-7267. We can help explain which roads are toll roads and when. The main roads around here at HOV only at certain times, or high tolls at certain times, and require an "EZ Pass."

Question

Where is Herndon, VA in relation to DC?

Answer

Herndon is a suburb in Northern Virginia, which is roughly 45 minutes (27 miles) west of Washington, DC. Herndon is part of the DC Metropolitan area.

Question

Best Way to Get Around?

Answer

DC does have a pretty good Metro (subway) system and if you are staying in Herndon you can pick up the metro in Reston. It will be a little bit of a ride into the city (45 min). The metro is a great way to get around within DC. Otherwise, Uber/Lyft/Taxi are your best bets.
