Dress up! Black tie or optional. Have fun, wear a kilt, wear fun fall colors, wear a ball gown, wear something comfortable. Dress like you're in the movie Kingsman, Oxfords not Brogues. Go outside, get your outfit inspiration there
Wearing white after labor day is really tacky, are you trying to be tacky?
No, we want to have a kid-free wedding
Coming from the person who is always late, maybe shoot for 20-30 minutes before the ceremony if you are not staying on site that way you can situate yourself with parking and the layout.
The ceremony will be held in the Concert Meadow. You can either walk there from the main lodge/parking lot or use the free transportation vans that will bring the wedding guests there. These vans will be located at the front entrance of the lodge.
The reception will be held in the Mozart room. Free transportation vans will be available to bring guests from the ceremony site to the reception site. It is located on the second floor but there is an elevator available for those who need it.
The ceremony will start at 4pm if Kala isn't late per usual. It should last roughly 20-30 minutes with cocktail hour starting right after.
No, but there will be mini cupcakes and a dessert bar - a "treat yo'self" section, if you will.
Negative, ghost rider - there is nothing formal. You can probably catch us at the Kaffehaus grabbing coffee and pastries.
You can fly into Boston, MA , Burlington, VT , or try your luck at the Manchester, NH airport. The drive to the venue from Boston is about 3.5 hours if you don't catch rush hour traffic. The drive from Burlington to the venue is about 45 minutes. Manchester to the venue is around 2.5 hours.
Only if this was cleared with either Nick or Kala first and was included on your RSVP.
Stay on site or at one of the many other hotels or Air B&B's available. Stowe is a big ski town with plenty of lodging around, many within a 20-minute driving distance of the Trapp Family Lodge. See some hotel ideas under the travel tab or use Google.
As early as possible! This is the beginning of leaf peeping season so it will be busy.
Guests have been chosen at random to suplex anybody who tries to take their phone out during the ceremony. Use that information wisely. There is also a professional photographer who has been paid to take the pictures for the couple of the ceremony.
Probably not, but maybe. The couple says you are welcome to do so, though.
We are hoping for a backyard house party for the most part. There will be a fire pit out on the patio, a dancefloor, and yard games (weather permitting).
Unfortunately not, apparently that is a "liability issue".
