The Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club & Spa

The Inn is the part of the CBBC venue (www.baybeachclub.com) and is the closest hotel (walking distances even! 6 min walk ~.3 mile) to where the ceremony and reception will be held. However, if you are not up for the walk in your heels and fancy dress, the hotel also provides a shuttle that will take you from the hotel to the venue and back throughout the wedding event. :) If you've had a little too much excitement and wish to retire a little earlier than the reception ends (or even if you simply forgot something in your hotel room) , all you have to do is walk out front and hop on! No scheduling needed. There will also be a shuttle waiting at the end of the reception if you are heading back to the CBBC Inn. We have reserved a limited number of rooms. UPDATE 7/29/19 - The HGI room block is now full and they are sold out for the weekend. Next closest is Best Western (which is across the street) and the Holiday Inn Express (which is still walking distance). The Hilton Garden Inn is located in Kent Narrows directly next door to the Jetty which is where the after-party is planned to take place. It is also about an 8 minutes drive away from the wedding venue. The Best Western is located in the Kent Narrows area (which is where Hilton Garden Inn and Best Western are located as well) which is about an 8 minute drive to the wedding venue. Call the hotel at 410-827-6767 to book no later than September 12, 2019 and mention the Hughes-Green wedding to get the group rate of $249 on Saturday, October 12 and $119 on Sunday, October 13.

Holiday Inn Express is also located in the Kent Narrows area (8 minutes drive from the wedding venue). Air travel

Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport is the closest airport to the venue (About 45 minutes drive). Other Washington-Baltimore area airports include Reagan National Airport (DCA) (about 60 minutes drive from venue) and International Airport at Dulles (IAD) (90 minutes drive from the venue).

Annapolis

The capital city of Maryland, Annapolis is 25 minutes from wedding venue. Great place to stay for the night or visit for the day and explore! If planning to stay in Annapolis at any time during the weekend, it is important to note there is a sailboat show in Annapolis Oct 10-14 - https://www.annapolisboatshows.com/united-states-sailboat-show/. For the sailboat lovers, this may be a perfect opportunity to check out something interesting and local! But also, keep this event in mind if attempting to stay in Annapolis over this weekend because hotel availability and rates are subject to this exciting and well attended event. The Hilton Garden Inn Annapolis offered decent rates when last checked (2/12/19).

October 13, 2019 3:30 pm - 4:15 pm

Wedding Ceremony begins at 5pm - Please arrive by 4:45pm for seating If you are a guest coming from the Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn, and Best Western hotels: 28-Passenger Shuttle from Touch of Class Limousines service. Look for the sign in the window: Hughes/Green Wedding at CBBC Tavern on the Bay. Note: Pickups will be at the Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn. Best Western guests should walk across street to Hilton Garden Inn. 3:30 PM - Shuttle will begin looping starting from the Hilton Garden Inn/Best Western (Pick up is at HGI/BW guests walk across the street) followed by the Holiday Inn Express to bring guests to the CBBC Inn. Enjoy a drink and games at the CBBC Inn until 4:15 PM.  CBBC Inn shuttle mentioned below will bring guests to Tavern on the Bay for ceremony.  4:15 PM - Shuttle will do final pick up at HGI/BW followed by the Holiday Inn Express and proceed directly to the CBBC Tavern on the Bay. Note: Pickups will be at the Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn. Best Western guests should walk across street to Hilton Garden Inn.

If you are staying in the Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, CBBC Inn will provide an on-call shuttle to guests staying. You can make arrangement for it to take you to the ceremony and to take you back from the reception at any point - if you wish to retire early or if you just forgot something in your room. Call the front desk. A shuttle will be waiting after the reception as well. Ceremony begins at 5pm, please arrive early for seating.

Shuttles after Reception

There will be three shuttle services after the reception. 1) Shuttle for the Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club 2) The Jetty Bus taking guests to After-Party 3) Touch of Class 28-passenger taking guests to after-party at the Jetty, Hilton Garden Inn, Best Western, and Holiday Inn. After reception, 28-passenger shuttle takes guests back to Jetty Dockbar, 201 Wells Cove Rd, Grasonville and Holiday Inn Express until 11pm, then return guests from Jetty to Holiday Inn and the Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, run loop every 30 minutes until 1:30am. Last shuttle leaves Jetty at 1:15am!! If you are going to directly to the after-party - you can get on either the Touch of Class shuttle or the Jetty Bus If you are going to Hilton Garden Inn, Holiday Inn, and Best Western hotels, get on the Touch of Class shuttle (You can still come to the after-party as it is walking distance from each of those hotels)

Contruction on Bay Bridge - expect delays getting over to Kent Island on the weekend

There is construction on the Bay Bridge resulting in a closed lane. Recent experience tells us that this adds an additional 45 minutes to an hour to get to Kent Island on a Friday. Please plan on building in some additional time to account for this.
