Elena met Amanda when they were seven years old in their third grade class. They quickly became inseparable, bonding over their love of the Disney group "The Cheetah Girls." After signing a friendship contract at the age of 8, spending nearly every day in each other's company until high school, and coping with separation anxiety in college by talking every day on the phone, it's safe to say Amanda knows Elena better than anyone. The two rarely go a day without a phone conversation and frequently turn to one another with the "burrito or burrito bowl?" decision. We love Amanda for her dedication to friendship, ginormous heart, and the effervescent joy that she brings to life!
Christy Weed
Maid of Honor
Christy is Elena's younger sister, and as Elena likes to say, a cooler version of herself! Elena and Christy share a love for music, car ride jam sessions, and a good jersey bagel. There's nothing like a sister bond- Elena is so grateful to have such a wonderful sister to stand by her on her special day. Although it's already felt this way for a very long time, Zach can't wait to officially call Christy his little sis. We love Christy for her whole-hearted love for animals, matter-of-fact personality, and all around genuine kindness!
Megan Gaffney

Upon acceptance to the University of Delaware in 2013, Elena and Megan found each other in an incoming student facebook group. After striking up some conversation through facebook and hitting it off immediately, they quickly realized that they couldn't have been more lucky. They stayed roommates for all four years of college, growing a forever friendship and bonding over their love for wine nights, dog snuggles, and Disney movies. Each time they see one another it will always feel like they're back in that freshman year dorm room!
Lili Margolin

Elena and Lili met on their first night at UD on the way to their very first college party. From impromptu shopping trips to movie nights and road trips, Elena can always count on Lili to bring a little sunshine to her life. At the wedding, she's likely to be found trying to track down the nearest family sized tub of Wawa meatballs (or tearing up the dance floor). Lover of corndogs, adventurer, our source of laughter, and, all jokes aside, one of the most generous and selfless people we've ever met...everyone needs a Lili in their life!
Annie White

Elena and Annie met at freshman orientation the summer before starting at UD in 2013. They hit it off as teacher buddies and were rarely seen without the other around UD's campus, whether they were trekking to class with Dunkin' iced coffees or trying to make it up the (very steep) Willard Hall stairs together for an 8 AM class while laughing a bit too hard between heavy breaths. They student-taught in the same classroom AND shared a room their senior year and still didn't get sick of one another, which is a tell of the strength of their friendship in itself! At the wedding, Annie's likely to be the life of the party...look out for this one!

Elena and Hannah met in their Honors English class freshman year of high school and quickly bonded over their shared interests. Best friends for nearly a decade, the two have shared countless memories, including Bachelor Monday wine nights, sleepovers with F'Real milkshakes, and late night Wawa runs. No matter how much time passes, Elena and Hannah always pick up right where they left off. We love Hannah's dedication to friendship, lovable quirkiness, and generosity. We can't wait for her to stand by us on our wedding day!
Caroline Luckstone

Elena and Caroline have known one another since their early childhood days, as Caroline was Amanda's next door neighbor. Their friendship deepened when they worked together at a wedding venue in high school, laughing til their stomachs hurt during their shifts and enjoying countless wine nights after. Their shared love for Buffalo Wild Wings, UD, and a good wine night will never die. Caroline brings fun wherever she goes, and we can't wait for her to bring some as she stands by our sides on 8.1.20!
Sara Bowne

Sara is Zach's sister, and has felt like a sister to Elena for years. From the moment they met, she welcomed Elena into the family with open arms. Sara has always been dependable for advice, recommendations, her unmatchable editing skills, and some good laughs! We love spending time with Sara and her husband, Andrew, over a craft brew, wine, or some good old Fox Meadows Creamery ice cream. She has always supported us in the best ways and we know she will continue to do so as we plan for our big day!
Elaine Neumann

Elaine is Zach's sister-in-law, and Elena can't wait to officially call her a sister as well! We've always admired Elaine's kindness, intelligence, and genuine nature. Elena is so grateful for the friendship that her and Elaine have built through bonding over their crazy teacher lives and similar senses of humor. We're so excited for a lifetime of good times ahead with Elaine and Jeremy, and of course we can't wait to celebrate alongside her on August 1st!

Jeremy is Zach’s older brother by two years. They have been extremely close since the very beginning and have shared many interests , hobbies, and experiences together; Boy Scouts, Tae Kwon Do, football, etc. Zach would not be the person he is today without him, as Jeremy exemplifies what it means to be a trustworthy, compassionate, responsible, and loving person . However, unlike Zach, Jeremy happens to be the living definition of a social butterfly; it’s impossible to avoid conversing with him (which is enjoyable for the most part). So whether you like it or not, you’ll be talking to this one at the wedding!
Andrew Bowne

Andrew is Zach’s brother-in-law. Though a tough nut to crack at first, Andrew’s generosity, kind-heart, and witty sense of humor shine through in all his actions. He has helped Elena and Zach on countless occasions. Recent examples include unclogging their bathroom sink and fixing a structurally crooked utensil drawer. But above everything, Andrew created the ring box used to hold Elena’s engagement ring on the day Zach proposed, thereby sealing his fate as a groomsman!
Jared Hunter

Zach discovered Jared via a Facebook post in a group for incoming freshman at Lehigh University. Upon reading the post, chatting with Jared, and realizing that they had identical interests, Zach boldly proposed that the two room together freshmen year (and Jared said yes!). The match could not have worked out better; the two ended up joining the same fraternity, roomed together three out of four years of college, and share a love for craft beer. You will likely find Jared by the bar at the wedding trying every beer available and trying to rack up those Untappd check-ins.
Grant Weed

Grant is Elena’s younger brother and Zach’s soon-to-be brother-in-law. It wasn’t difficult for Zach to win over Grant’s approval, as both connected and got along ever since Elena and Zach started dating. Zach and Grant share a deep love for music and guitar. They occasionally jam and play together for family. Zach, however, admits some jealousy towards Grant’s insane shredding skills. Like Zach and Elena, Grant heavily values family; his caring and loving nature toward Elena, Zach, and the rest of his family has remained constant.
Kyle Phillips

Kyle and Zach were forced into a friendship at a very young age due to Jeremy becoming friends with Kyle’s older brother Nick in kindergarten, but one could say things worked out, since the two are still best friends to this day. They played sports together, were in the same band in high school, attended rival colleges, and now work on the same team at the same company as computer engineers. Sharing a sense of humor, Zach always laughs the hardest when Kyle is around. They have never quite seemed to escape one another throughout the years.
Will Powick

Zach and Will have known each other since 4th grade. With a mutual love for football, music, and beer, Zach and Will’s friendship has stayed strong effortlessly. Zach and Will have performed music together numerous times, as the two were in the same band together in high school. Zach and Elena have enjoyed countless delicious meals at the hands of Will. If their wedding were a cook-out, Will would the designated grill master. You’ll without a doubt hear Will’s signature laugh at the wedding, which is sure to get you laughing as well.
Tom Lanzilotta

Zach and Tom were in the same third grade class when they became friends. Growing up throughout grade school, the two enjoyed many times together swimming in pools, playing backyard football and video games, and pumping serious iron. Tom and Zach were also in the same band together in high school (Tom was essentially “volun-told” to be the bassist). No matter the day, Tom is always up for a good time and down to hang. With a love for thrill and adventure, you will likely find it difficult to keep up with Tom at the wedding.
Sean Andersen

As Zach likes to say, Sean and him should have befriended one another years before they did when they were seniors in high school . With a passion for guitar, music, sports, and anything to do with the beach, Sean’s friendship came naturally not only to Zach, but to the rest of Zach’s high school friends: Kyle, Will, Tom, and John. Sean is easy to humor and entertain (which is great because Zach isn’t that funny ). If you’re wondering who that guy is smiling so much at the wedding, it’s probably Sean.
John Gould

John and Zach were bandmates in 8th grade when they became friends. John illuminates every room he walks into with his perfectly-timed comedic relief and natural charisma. John greatly aided Zach in breaking out of his socially-awkward shell in grade school (thus contributing to the start of Elena and Zach’s relationship). With a keen sense of rhythm and a playbook full of moves, John is likely to be killing it on the dance floor at the wedding. Be on the lookout for this one; he’s a charmer.
