On Halloween 2019, they laid eyes on each other for the first time at a mutual friend's house. He came to borrow clothes and there she was. After that night (and a lot of embarrassing dancing) they kept in touch as she went back to Liberty and he continued at George Mason. After a few months of talking every day and him asking daily for her to be his girlfriend, they finally got together a week before Christmas. Then, as we all know, the world came to a stop in March 2020 due to COVID-19. So, she left Liberty and decided to come be in Fairfax so she could still see him everyday. Their love grew stronger every single day throughout that time, spending almost all of their free time together. They graduated college in Spring 2021 and officially became roommates after. He went off to work and she went off to graduate school. Since then, they have built a great life and so many memories together. One can only imagine how the story will continue...

In July of 2022, he picked up the perfect ring for her. He spent a lot of time planning a romantic day to propose to her where they had their "first date" (depending on who you ask). Unfortunately, where they had their first date was under construction so he needed to come up with another spot to propose. After a lot of searching, he found a great place in the same town. Lake Anne provided a perfect area to have their special moment. On September 25, 2022, he took her to a nice brunch and asked her if she wanted to take a walk around the lake since it was a beautiful day outside. He led her to a scenic area where they sat for a moment looking over the lake. He then stood up and got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him.

Tucked away in the peaceful, historic countryside of Northern Virginia, Bristow Manor Golf Club has a beautiful 19th century manor house that will be the location of our wedding. From the moment that we arrived at this venue, we knew it would be perfect for us. When we walked in the door through to the cocktail hour space and the reception room we could see our special day happening there.
