With its decidedly chill vibe and population less than 2000, Los Alamos, California is the coolest little ranch town in Santa Barbara County. Just 40 miles north of the heart of SB, your closest airport will be Santa Barbara airport (50 min away). LAX is another great option for those unable to fly into Santa Barbara -- just mind the peak traffic time out of LA!

Parking is available for free at the Alamo Motel.
