The Virginia Beach boardwalk has about 3 miles of shopping, restaurants, and the Atlantic Ocean!
We attended last year’s festival and had a blast! There are unlimited wine samples, food truck fare for purchase, and live music. It does get very busy so expect heavy crowds. Tickets are required for entry. The event runs from 12-5 pm; we recommend leaving early so you don’t miss the wedding :)
The park is where English colonists first landed in 1607. The park has 20 miles of trails and 1.5 miles of sandy Chesapeake Bay beach frontage.
Spend a few hours learning about and accompanied by sea creatures! There’s also a large outdoor marsh exhibit where you can see local Virginia wildlife in their natural habitat.

Located in Virginia Beach the Military Aviation Museum is home to one of the world’s largest collections of flying vintage military aircraft!
Spend some time at the local botanical garden. May in coastal Virginia is a beautiful time of year — but allergy sufferers may want to be prepared!
The Virginia Air & Space Science Center features interactive aviation exhibits spanning 100 years of flight, more than 30 historic aircraft, a hands-on space exploration gallery, unique space flight artifacts, and more.
