Question
When do I arrive?
Answer
We ask that you arrive to the venue by 5:30 pm to take your seat. The ceremony will start promptly at 6:00 pm — we know everyone wants to get to the food and drink! PLEASE NOTE: traffic around Virginia Beach and Norfolk should not pose any threat to your arrival. If you choose to spend any time on the Lower Peninsula (in Hampton, Yorktown, Williamsburg, etc), please allow AMPLE time to cross over the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel (HRBT) or Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel (MMMBT) — they can get severely backed up! We recommend checking Google Maps or Waze to track travel times.

What do I wear?
Answer
Please dress comfortably! Our dress code would be described as “evening beach party.” We recommend ladies wear dresses, jumpsuits, skirts; whatever makes you happy! You may wear heels or more comfortable footwear. We recommend gentlemen wear button downs and slacks — jackets and ties are not required.

What do I bring?
Answer
Yourself! We will provide the rest. We are not registering for gifts nor expecting anything day-of. Your presence is our present! If you feel strongly about a tangible gift, please see our list of nonprofits to which you may provide a donation.

How do I get around?
Answer
We have secured a bus to shuttle everyone between the Hyatt Place Oceanfront and the venue! The pickup time will be 5 pm in front of the hotel and take you straight to Lesner Inn. It will then depart Lesner at 11 pm and take you back to the Hyatt! Please note it will not be making multiple stops to pick people up nor will it leave the venue earlier than the end time of the wedding. If you prefer not taking the bus, there is ample free parking at the venue; overnight parking is not allowed. Uber and Lyft are also easily available in the area.

Will the events be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Everything is indoors! We will be on the venue’s waterside deck for all events. There will be open windows and fans running as needed. The space itself is not air conditioned — but Virginia in May is beautiful and should not be uncomfortable.

When do I RSVP?

RSVPs will be requested after the formal invitation is mailed in March 2024. We hope you can join us!

Can I bring a guest?

Please ask us! This is a small, intimate wedding. We are happy to accommodate plus ones, but we kindly request children do not attend. If you have any additional questions, please contact Roxanne or Nate directly.
