Question

Where are the hotel accommodations?

Answer

We’ve obtained a block of rooms for guests at the venue Renaissance Reno. Rooms will cost $200 a night. We’d love for you to stay here but understand there’s a lot of other great accommodations in the area. Below is a couple other hotels near by that you might consider: Reno Suite (currently under renovation, will update once availability is known closer to the date) 5 min walk to the venue Whitney Peak Courtyard by Marriott Reno Downtown Riverfront J Resort

Question

Is there a shuttle service provided to and from the airport?

Answer

No, the hotel does not provide a shuttle service to the airport. There is also not a shuttle between the ceremony and reception. We are looking into “blocks” of rental cars to allow families to carpool.

Question

Where is the ceremony in relation to the reception/hotel?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at St Francis of Assisi church in Incline Village. This is a 46 minute drive to and from the hotel in good weather. At this time, we are not planning for a backup ceremony location so please plan accordingly. Everyone is invited but please exercise caution in the event of inclement weather. This route is on mountain roads and can become slick and icy in the winter. If you are not used to driving in snow or ice, please find someone to carpool with. If you need help finding someone to ride with, please let us know.

Question

Is parking available at the hotel?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at the hotel for $19 per night. There is also nearby metered street parking which is enforced Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm and costs $1 per hour. Some nearby streets may be free but subject to enforced time limit restrictions.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding and reception?

Answer

This event is semi formal but come in whatever you’re most comfortable in! What matters most to us is that you’re here, happy, and comfortable!

Question

How early do we need to get to the airport for flights?

Answer

Depends on the time and activities, but an hour is typically plenty of time to get through RNO.

Question

Is gambling legal?

Answer

Yes! There’s lots of casinos in the area to choose from if you’re so inclined.

Question

Do we need to bring our gift with us?

Answer

No, there’s a lot of options for delivery and as people who travel frequently, we don’t want anyone to have to stress packing gifts on top of everything else. Your happy face is the biggest gift to us!

Question

RSVP online or by card?

Answer

Please RSVP online if you’re able to.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs will be due December 10th to give our vendors plenty of time to coordinate around the holiday season.

Question

Dietary restrictions for the wedding?

Answer

There will be gluten free options available! If you have additional dietary requirements, please let us know so we can try to make arrangements for you.

Question

What’s the weather going to be like?

Answer

Winter in the Sierra Nevadas/Reno can be anything from blizzardy and cold to sunny and 40-50 degrees. Please plan accordingly. Temperatures will be colder at the church than in Reno as its in the mountains, so it’s located in the mountains at a higher elevation. Even if temperatures are warm at the hotel, would recommend having a coat or jacket to take with you to the ceremony.

Question

Can I book at Renaissance Reno for more than what’s available on the website?

Answer

Yes! Call or email Madi Castagnola at 775-321-5883 or mcastagnola@renaissancereno.com to get the discounted rate for an extended stay.
