Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
This is where you'll fly into if you are not driving into Austin. Ubers/Lyfts are constantly arriving so there shouldn't be an issue getting one (prices can vary). The drive is 10 miles (15 minutes) into downtown. Note: The Austin Airport is relatively small compared to others like MSP, LAX, etc. What is cool about it though is you can enjoy BBQ and live music inside most days!

Hello Friends & Family! Franklin's BBQ is the #1 best BBQ Joint in Austin, TX. It is world famous! They have the best pitmasters. Like ribs, pulled pork, and brisket? This is the place! Terry Black's Barbecue
"If" you didn't reserve a spot for Franklin's BBQ, this is the 2nd best in town! Expect waiting in line for 30 to 60 minutes. Really yummY! [Can walk or scooter, however we'd recommend an uber or car]
Oasis Texas Brewing Company
This is an iconic restaraunt/brewery/shopping complex in Austin, TX overlooking Lake Travis. The views are amazing! The food is not though. [Requires an uber or car]
Austin Bat Festival
Annually there is a bat festival where hundreds of thousands (maybe millions) of bats flood out of the Congress Bridge and is an amazing site. You can see these every evening during sunset. More details on the festival to come. In previous years, there have been popular musicians who play like: Saliva, Tantric, Petey Pablo, Ying Yang Twins, Chamillionaire, and several others! Lake Austin/Lady Bird Lake

Torchy's Tacos
Wants some Damn Good Tacos?! This is the place. It doesn't matter if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, Torchy's does it right! If you need a specific recommendation on which taco, let us know. Rainey Street
This is the place to go out on the town! On any given night you can see dozens of bachelor/bachelorette partys bar hopping. Partake at your out risk! University of Texas at Austin
This is Texas' flagship university: The University of Texas at Austin [hook'em horns]! This is where Ben is attending his MBA (#7 in US) graduating in May 2024. If you have a child who is thinking about attending a university, this would be a great place to consider for undergrad or grad (i.e. Online Master's in Computer Science for only $10,000]. Texas Capitol
The Texas Capitol is widely recognized as one of the nation's most distinguished state capitols. It is in the heart of the city. [Within wallking and scootering distance, but it'll be hot]
Zilker Metropolitan Park
Zilker Park is notably known for ACL (Austin City Limits) hosting artists like Miley Cyrus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bon Jovi, MGK, and many more! Also in the park, there is a muncipal pool. This is a highly recommended place to go if you have children! Additionally in the park, you will see thousands of people laying around with countless puppers (dogs) having a good time. Titaya's Thai Cuisine
Ben studied abroad in Thailand in college and we went here on our second date. This is autentic thai food and is the best in town. [Requires an uber or drive or delivery]
Sushi Zushi
We have never found good sushi (yet) in Austin b/c we tend to make it from scratch and enjoy it much better. Plus, the city is flooded with delicious BBQ and that's what it's known for. However, if you like nigiri and want a reasonable priced happy hour, this is the place! [Requires an uber or drive or delivery]
Dirty 6th Street
Have you been to Bourbon Street in New Orleans? Well think that but for Austin, TX. School starts on August 21st, 2023 and this will be the first weekend of the semester where the streets are flooded with people.
