The dress code is Cocktail Attire. Ladies should wear a cocktail dress, jump suit, tea-length, knee-length, or midi dress. Gentlemen should wear a suit or a sports coat.
To allow all of our guests the chance to let their hair down, this is an adults-only celebration. Thank you for your understanding!
Both the ceremony and the reception will be at our venue, The Ivy Room in Chicago. The address for the Ivy Room is 12 E Ohio St #100, Chicago, IL 60611. The ceremony will be outside in the courtyard of the Ivy Room, followed by cocktail hour. The reception will be inside, in the ball room of the Ivy Room. Guests will have access to the outside courtyard, the ballroom and the downstairs lounge throughout the night as well and the entire event.
We would love to share our special day with as many people as possible, but due to venue restrictions we will only be able to accommodate those listed on the invitation.
Our wedding Friday night is the only “main event” of the weekend, and the only thing you need to RSVP for! For friends and family in town and looking for things to do, we do have an optional and very casual ‘Welcome Party’ on Thursday night for those in town at Village Tap in the Roscoe Village neighborhood from 6-9pm (see more information on the "Schedule" tab). Similarly, for those looking for something to do on Saturday, we plan to have a group meet around 6pm at the Chicago Blues Festival on Saturday evening. For any other plans you want to make or ideas for things to do in Chicago, we’ve outlined a bunch of our favorite places/events on the “Things to Do in Chicago” tab of our website.
