let's get married

We met on the dance floor (literally) at Natalie's favorite San Diego hangout, West Coast Tavern. It was early 2017, whisky mules were flowing, and a political discussion erupted. Andy got Natalie's number by telling her he wanted to attend her activist group meetings, preparing for the first women's march. Niiiiiiice line. He did end up going, once! The love grew steadily over the next months and Andy said the "L" word on their first trip together in Medellin, Colombia. Don't worry, she said it back ;)

Andy and Natalie took a trip to Spain before moving to NYC in fall 2019. Andy got to show Natalie some of his favorite spots in Madrid before they headed north to the mountain region of Asturias. In Asturias Andy told Natalie he had a nice, short hike he wanted to go on. Natalie obviously said no, wanting to go on a harder, longer, more remote hike. So Andy brought the ring, not sure where he'd propose but hoping there'd be an ideal spot. The pair ended up on the Ruta del Cares, an epic hike with awe-striking views. After BOTH being pooped on by a bird - double good luck! - Andy found his spot and popped the question. Natalie responded with a resounding YES! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in San Diego!
