It all started at work. It just so happened the only open desk for Natalia was the one right next to Chase. They started out as just friends, but soon realized there was quite the chemistry between them. He asked her out on a date and she accepted. He picked her up from her house and they went to her favorite restaurant. Before they left for the date, something strange happened. When Natalia opened the door and saw Chase standing at the end of her walkway, she envisioned him standing at the end of 'the aisle'. "Funny," she thought, but she shook it off and went on with the night. The conversation was easy, the wine flowed, and they sat at the dinner for hours, never wanting it to end. In all reality, it still hasn't.

Chase's maternal grandparents were born on the island of Malta. The couple took a vacation to Italy and opted to include Malta on the itinerary as neither had ever been. Their best friend, Francesc, joined them on the island. To celebrate, Chase recommended they go to dinner in the medieval city of Mdina. They arrived in time to see the most beautiful sunset from the ramparts surrounding the city. As she sat upon the city wall, Chase approached Natalia with the most loving words followed by his proposal. It was the perfect moment celebrating his family's past and their family's future.
