Travel Note
Flights to Nantucket depart from Boston, New York (JFK, LGA, EWR) and Washington D.C. We recommend either flying the same airline to all stops or flying Jet Blue and then Cape Air, as they are also located in the same terminal. Cape Air serves Nantucket from both Boston and New Bedford, MA. Guests flying into Boston can also take either the Plymouth & Brockton or Peter Pan bus. These buses go directly from Logain Airport to the Hyannis Transportation Center. From here, guests can easily access the Hyannis Ferry Terminal via shuttle. Guests flying into Providence can also access the New Bedford Ferry via an Uber from the airport or the Seastreak's Shuttle Service from the Providence Train Station.
Travel Note
There are several options for getting to Nantucket by ferry. FROM CAPE COD Both the Hy-Line and Steamship Authority ferries depart regularly from Hyannis. There are fast ferry (1 hour cruise) options on both the Hy-Line and Steamship Authority and a slow ferry (2 hours, 15 minutes) option on the Steamship Authority. We recommend booking fast ferry reservations at least a month in advance as they do sell out quickly. However, you can purchase a slow boat ferry ticket at the Steamship Authority Office in Hyannis on the same day you are traveling. There are no advance reservations for the slow ferry as they do not usually sell out. Hyannis is a 90-minute drive from Boston and 4-5 hours from New York (depending on traffic). You can bring your car over on the slow ferry, but car rentals are also available on Island. If you do want to bring your own car over, you must make that reservation several months in advance. Car reservations typically open on Steamship Authority’s website in January. FROM NEW BEDFORD The Seastreak Ferry is also a great option to avoid Cape traffic. The ferry operates daily with 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM departures to Nantucket and is approximately a 2 hour trip to Nantucket. New Bedford, MA is a 3-4 hour drive from New York and 1 hour from Boston.

TAXI CABS AND RIDE SHARING SERVICES Once you land on the island, there are plenty of taxis waiting at the airport to take you to your accommodations. You can also call Roger's Taxis (508) 818-8294 if you are having trouble finding one at the airport. Uber and Lyft provided services on Island as well, but wait times can vary. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION One of the best ways to travel around Nantucket is via the Nantucket Regional Transit Authority - Known as The WAVE. Buses traverse the island from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. You can easily get from the airport, to Town, to Sconset, and most places on island by using the bus. Check out the bus schedule here: https://nrtawave.com/how/index.php. CAR RENTALS Once on the island, you can rent a Jeep through https://nantucketautorental.com/or https://nantucketislandrentacar.com/. Guests can also rent vehicles through Hertz throughhttps://www.hertz.com/p/car-rental/united-states/massachusetts/nantucket.

WHERE TO STAY Nantucket is a seasonal destination and housing is EXTREMELY LIMITED. **Please book your accommodations as soon as possible, as houses and hotels fully book up many months in advance.** Prices will skyrocket given limited space. Due to it's small size, Nantucket has no hotel blocks to book. Most hotels will not begin booking until Fall of 2023. Please see below for recommendations on where to stay! AIRBNB AND VRBO We highly recommend you exploring the option of getting a group together and renting a house through Airbnb or VRBO, as we've found this to be the most cost-effective way to stay on the Island. Nantucket is relatively small, so you don’t need to worry about the location of the rental being too far away from anything. You won’t be more than a 20 minute drive away at the most! If you’d like to remain within walking distance to shops and restaurants, we recommend staying close to Town. Otherwise, you can rent a car or use ride-sharing services, like Uber and Lyft, or taxis to get around the island. Please note, most events during the weekend will be taking place in Town. HOTELS AND INNS There are many lovely hotels and charming bed & breakfasts in the downtown area of Nantucket. Here are a few places we recommend looking into:
