Question

When should I RSVP by? How should I RSVP?

Answer

We sure hope you’ll be able to join us for our special day. Invitations will be mailed out no later than late August (sorry for the delay). Once all invitations have been mailed, follow the instructions on your invitation card. You'll be able to RSVP on this website. Please RSVP by September 25th, 2023.

Question

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. Wear something you’re comfortable in—button-down shirts, mix-and-match blazers, long flowy dresses, etc. The ceremony will take place at San Francisco's City Hall.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We love photos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we’d like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to post pictures using our wedding hashtag #MrandMrCarcamoStrong so we can see them, too!

Question

What weather should I expect?

Answer

The San Francisco weather in October gives us warm days and cool evenings. The days start off in the high 50°F (10°C) to low 60° (15°C ). It then heats up to a little over 75° (23°C) most days. At night, it cools off again to the mid-50s. Of course, we encourage you to keep an eye on the weather in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, guests are more than welcome to make their way to NEMA SF where we'll be hosting a small Happy Hour before our reception (this event is completely optional). Come or not, guests will have plenty of time between the ceremony and the reception to change attire, rest, and explore SF a bit. Guests can start arriving around 5:45 PM. Cocktails, food, and dessert will be served. Please note this is not a formal seated dinner. So bring out your dancing shoes and your over-the-top energy because we are throwing a party!

Question

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue(s)?

Answer

We are not providing any formal transportation for any of the events, and given the difficulty of finding parking around the city -- especially around the Civic Center area -- we highly encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with Uber and Lyft prior to the wedding. Regardless of your choice, please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Absolutely, please see our "Schedule" Section on this website for all the details. We'll update additional pop-up events as we get closer to the wedding. We also encourage all newcomers to the Bay Area to check out our "Things to Do" Section. Feel free to plan your mini getaway trip.

Question

Can I bring my kids? Will there be a babysitter?

Answer

Outside of immediate family, we kindly request no children at the ceremony/reception.

Question

Can I bring my partner or a plus one?

Answer

We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We are not offering a hotel block for guests. However, we encourage everyone to check out our "Travel" Section as it contains detailed information on hotel recommendations and more.

Question

What type of food and drinks will be served during reception?

Answer

There will be a stylish, literary-themed bar with drinks named after characters, punch on tap & book-lined walls featuring the finest selection of premium spirits, as well as local beer, wine, and sparkling. There will be delicious self-served stations with a variety of sustenance, vegetarian options, and of course dessert.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Sure, but as always, we ask our guests to drink responsibly and tip your bartenders as they will be here laboring for our entertainment.
