Pretty much whatever you want.* Feel like going black tie? Do it. A suit? Great. A ball gown? Awesome. Cocktail dress? Amazing. Short sleeve button-down with or without a tie? Weird flex, but okay. Sundress? Great! (but see about "Weather" below). Please don’t feel like you have to go out and buy anything in particular to match our dress code. Wear what makes you feel nice.
Mike will be wearing a navy suit and Kait has bought her dress. If you are interested in seeing pictures, text Kait. She's bad at keeping secrets and WILL send you pictures.
Wearing White: Please try not to wear white or something that’s obviously white (e.g. “it’s eggshell!” or "it's cream!!"). We won’t say anything because who honestly cares, but it’s kind of a weird thing to do. Other Colors: Please refrain from blues or purples as these colors are reserved for the families of the Bride and Groom Polo shirts: Please, for the love, try to avoid wearing a polo shirt. T-shirts are preferred to polo shirts. Kait is not a fan of polo shirts. It’s a weird thing, but just let her have this. Weather: It’s October in Texas. Could be 60 degrees, could be 90 degrees. Regardless of what you wear, consider bringing something to keep you warm. Ultimately we want everyone to be comfortable. Mike and Kait both get sweaty and like dancing, so we will probably not want to have the heat on super high. Shoes: Please don’t feel awkward about wearing (or changing into) comfortable shoes. Kait plans to change into sneaks for the reception. Being able to join us for at least one dance > Fancy shoes all night Feel free to reach out to us if you have questions, we are so happy to help
Please have your RSVPs returned by October 1, 2023. If we have not heard from you by September 25, we will reach out via phone call.
Please do!! We would love to have photos and videos from all of our guests, however, I would like to reiterate that we have requested an unplugged ceremony. We have hired a wonderful photographer and videographer to capture the whole day, and we ask that you respectfully allow those professionals to capture the ceremony. During the reception, you will be more than welcome and encouraged to pull out your cameras and go nuts!
