Ally is so excited to be marrying her high school sweetheart, Ben. After 6 years together, she can’t think of a better way to celebrate their 7th anniversary! The people in this wedding party have been invaluable to her life and the life she has shared with Ben. She cannot thank these people enough for being there for her through every different phase of her life.
Ben
Groom
Ben is likely the one most eagerly awaiting this day (Ally doesn't believe it), as the plan to propose and marry her had been in his phone for over half their relationship. After proposing to Ally on their 6th anniversary, he surprised her by announcing he'd gotten her dream wedding venue on their 7th anniversary. He's so excited to celebrate with family and friends, and grow some grey hairs throughout the planning!
Amanda
Maid of Honor
Amanda is Ally’s sister and has been her built-in best friend for her entire life. There has not been good or bad day that Amanda hasn’t been there for. Ally and Amanda understand each other in a way that no one else does, and it’s obvious any time they get together. The partnership is even represented in a family old nickname "Amanda and the Panda" a singing duo that wrecks the competition. Through those happy times and the sad times, they've been each other's shoulders to cry on, confidants to confide in, and comedians to laugh with. Ally loves Amanda with all her heart and there isn't enough to be said about how she feels for her. Amanda is Ally’s for life singing partner, life-coach, cheerleader, and shoulder to cry on. Ally is so lucky to have a sister like Amanda, she is as kind and giving as she is beautiful. There is no one in the world Ally trusts more with this task of being Maid of Honor. Ally is so blessed to have Amanda serve as Maid of Honor for her wedding.
Connor
Best Man
Connor has been a presence in Ben's life beyond compare, he's been there every step of the way and supported Ben emotionally. Ben met Connor in middle school playing soccer and quickly grew a relationship with him. They bonded over playing soccer and FIFA as well as watching movies, mostly horror films that made their friends crawl under the blankets to hide. For almost a quarter of his life they've lived together at the dorms, an apartment, and then a house in Jacksonville. They worked together briefly and spent most of their time hanging out and having fun through college, there was no one else Ben would've wanted to do a midnight run for food and ice cream with. In their time together growing as people, they also grew together, sharing emotions and thoughts that they had trouble confiding in other people with. Ben would not be the person he is today without Connor, and he wouldn't want to be the person he is without him. He knows he can trusts Connor and can go to him with anything, even hiding a body (thanks for the shovel by the way). He loves him so so so much, and considers him the brother he never had.
Brooklyn
Bridesmaid
Brooklyn is Ally’s childhood best friend. Brooklyn and Ally have been friends for 12 years since they met at church when they both were in Children’s Choir together. The two of them went from strangers to best friends in a matter of days, turned to weeks, months, and then years. Their friendship is one that extends time, they can pick up where they left off no matter how much time passes, they truly have become sisters. Through many shows, mission trips, and youth weeks, Ally and Brooklyn created a bond that was unique and beautiful. They have had countless sleepovers, laughs, cries, late night milkshake runs, and car karaoke sessions. Ally and Brooklyn have the type of friendship that only gets stronger with time.
Andrew
Groomsman
Andrew is one of Ben’s groomsmen, and is also Ally’s brother. Andrew and Ben share the same interests in many things regarding their love of video games, books, and really all things nerdy. Being an only child, Ben hasn’t had many experiences with siblings, but Andrew has been the brother to Ben that he has always wanted. Andrew is always there to serve and protect his family, and there is never a doubt in anyone’s mind how much love he has to give the world. Ben is so happy to have Andrew be a groomsman for him during the most important day of his life.
Isabella
Bridesmaid
Isabella and Ally became friends in college when Isabella joined Ally’s sorority. When Ally and Isabella met after she joined, they immediately knew they were going to be friends. Soon after they met, Ally was over at Isabella’s apartment nearly everyday hanging out with Isabella and her best friend Avery and the three started doing just about everything together. And they ended being their own little fam. The two bonded over many things: their similar worldviews, their love of dogs, Starbucks, and their disdain for their schoolwork! Isabella just understood Ally and vise versa, and their friendship was the type of connection that you don’t have to force. While Ally was going through one of the toughest times in her life, Isabella was there to love and support her, as well as pick up the pieces and glue them back together. They love each other as much as they love their dogs (which is saying something) and they share a love for the teaching profession, which is another reason that shows why they are as close as they are. Ally is so excited to take this adventure on with Isabella by her side, and wouldn't have it any other way.
Matt
Groomsman
There isn't a bio in the world that can describe how great of a person and a friend Matt has been. Through so many years, Matt has remained a positive presence and the most caring spirit Ben has ever interacted with, one who is loyal to no faults and would do anything for the ones he loves. They've been through multiple stages in life from childhood to growing up in Englewood to going off to college. While they don't hang out as much as they'd like to because of the distance, they're almost always planning a weekend to get together. While Matt may not realize it, he helped Ben with one of his biggest fears in life, which were rollercoasters. In middle school, Matt convinced Ben to go on SheiKra, which plunges 200 feet at a 90 degree angle (Ben started fanboying here, thanks Matt), and since then Ben is an avid rollercoaster fan. The reason for this short story is that at this point in his life, Ben can't imagine going through this rollercoaster of a journey without Matt by his side.
Liz
Bridesmaid
Liz is Ally’s step-sister and was her roomie for about five years growing up in their combined household. Throughout five years in the same room and then three more years navigating the same year of high school together, Ally and Liz created a bond through their shared experiences and shared interests throughout life. Ally and Liz became “besties” throughout middle and high school and were there for each other through boy drama, math homework nights at the kitchen table, Dunkin’ runs down in Englewood, Prom hair makeovers, and Razor Scooter races. Ally is so excited to have Liz by her side for another milestone in her life.
Derek
Groomsman
Derek is Derek. He's a constant and he's always been there for Ben; longer, actually, than any of the other groomsmen you'll meet at this wedding. From biking home together after school and hanging out playing Xbox to Ben being a groomsmen at Derek's wedding, Ben has and will always be able to rely on Derek to be his friend. Ben is beyond happy to have supported Derek at his wedding and is thrilled to have him as a part of this one, he knows that Derek will always be someone he can count on through thick and thin. Any advice or tips he may need, he knows that he will be supported and helped at any point in his life.
Gianna
Bridesmaid
Gianna is one of Ally’s great friends from college and one of the most grounding members of Ally’s circle. Gianna and Ally were friends-turned-coworkers when Ally started working as a Pharmacy Technician during their senior year of college. There are few people that few the world through the same lenses as Ally does, and Gianna is one of them. Gianna and Ally bonded over their plans to teach in the future and could always rely on each other through the craziness of daily work life. Gianna is a person that Ally can always count on to chat, for advice, a laugh, or just to hang out. Ally is so lucky to have a friend like Gianna to help her with school things!
Cameron
Groomsman
Cameron is a straight-forward guy, but he's also someone who knows when to pop the most satirical and out of pocket comment you can imagine. That's why when one night he offered to be a groomsmen, Ben couldn't tell if he was joking at first. After talking again, Ben realized Cameron was not, and happily offered a groomsmen spot to him. Out of all the people Ben has met in college, he knows that Cameron is one of the most loyal and caring people he's interacted with, and looks forward to becoming better friends with him. At the reception, make sure to keep the whiskey sours away from Ben and him or you'll be out of sour mix.
Summer
Flower Girl and Bridesmaid
Summer is Ally’s little from her sorority and one of her closest friends from college. Summer always encourages Ally to be adventurous and take on new risks. Summer is adventurous and kind and is a person that Ally has looked up to for as long as she has known her. Summer is always looking out for others and is always willing to try new things. Ally feels so incredibly lucky to have met someone like Summer because she pushes Ally to be the best version of herself and Ally is so happy to have Summer at her big day to make it just a little bit brighter.
Avery
Flower Girl and Bridesmaid
Avery is one of Ally’s good friends from college. Ally calls Avery her fake little form the sorority because they have taken on that role for each other. They were incredibly fast friends and they just seemed to get each other. Through countless Starbucks dates and they spent at avery’s and Isabella’s apartment, avery and Ally became quite close and bonded over there shared love of Nala, Avery’s dog. Avery, never fails to make Ally laugh whenever they are together, and is always there to put a smile on everyone’s face. Ally is so blessed to have a friend like Avery, and is so excited to have Avery at her wedding.
