Maid of Honor
My twin! There is no one who gets me like Liz does. We spent our childhood playing soccer and basketball together, hosting sleepovers, and shopping. She is my favorite travel partner, my spa nights, my five course Italian meal, and all the giggles I could ever need! I can always count on her to make me a dirty martini after a rough day, be down for a late night shopping trip, and is #1 on my speed dial. She has been such a good friend to Karl and the two of them couldn't be more alike! Liz is my other half and I have dreamed of the day she would stand by my side as I marry my other best friend.
Best Man
Ecoli, Bear, Er - a man with many nicknames. I grew up his #1 fan. Hand-me-down clothes were never just a way for my parents to save money, but rather the chance to be like my big bro. Erik was also protective of me and wanted to make sure that I was happy at all times. To this day, whenever we are together, he is always making sure that I am enjoying the time, as we always have.
Bridesmaid
Nicole and I were randomly selected room mates at Elmhurst College. This friendship was truly love at first site. She is my hype-girl, a double XL bag of peanut M&M's, binge watching Gossip Girl, and one of the most considerate and loving friends. She taught me how to keep my room clean, how to not fail college (she literally saved me from failing my capstone), and most importantly how to listen and support others. Nicole is always down to take a shot with you and if you get a chance to try her cheesecake, don't pass it up.
Best Man
Where do I start? Marco and I met while studying abroad in Perugia, Italy (with Sara!) We hit it off by talking about how much we like protein and making gains in the gym. The rest is history. After maybe 6 days I told this Jones he was my best friend - he thought I was crazy. We now have so many inside jokes to the point that we can use code and joke in front of innocent bystanders without anybody noticing. There isn't a Barnaby on this floating rock that I have laughed harder with. Sorry for the inside joke usage, can't help myself. One Love
Bridesmaid
Marina was the captain of our volleyball team my freshman year of college. At first we kept our distance, both competitive and cocky, focused on cheeky sideline tips and pounding cuts down our opponents weak left side's throat. By the end of my sophomore year we were inseparable and have been ever since. We have gone through so many changes together and always find our way to cozying up to the fireplace together, giggling over a cup of coffee, or adventuring. She understands my misunderstood and taught me how to stand up for myself - and to always take care of my nails. When the DJ plays reggaeton you will surely find her on the dance floor!
Groomsman
Boiiiiii. Colin is my ride or die. A man who is down for anything, we'll sit and enjoy a Jack 'n Diet, jam on the sticks, and most importantly dunk on anyone. From long days golfing to grilling out, we have grown so close after being next door neighbors. We can have fun with such simple things like playing made up card games for hours and I will always appreciate this man for who he is. I cant wait for all of the fun times to come as the four of us continue to grow even closer and share more memories.
Bridesmaid
Chrissy is my soon-to-be sister! She has been training Karl how to treat a Queen for years, to love dogs (especially pugs), and to blast the "RENT" soundtrack every Saturday morning. Chrissy cried when she found out her new baby sibling was a boy and worked tirelessly throughout their childhood to get him to enjoy playing dress up. Now, she will finally have another sister and I couldn't be more grateful to have her by both of our sides!
Groomsman
HAHA JP BABY PSSHH! I am usually told that there is nobody who loves life as much as I do. I believed that until I reconnected with Jeff. Jeff and I met in high school when we both played basketball. He was one of the only upperclassmen that would talk to me... nicely at least. We recently rekindled the flame of our friendship and I am so glad we did. We talk sports, play video games, FIGHT NIGHT, and the fact that we are both marrying SARA's with no "H" is pretty dope.
Bridesmaid
Meghan is my fashion compass and elder-flower cocktail making fairy friend! Like me, she has a deep appreciation for the simple things in life, homemade bread, lighting a candle, or picking a fresh bouquet of flowers for the table. But don't get me wrong- this girl knows how to party. There is no one who has accompanied me more for a night out dancing or to check out a local singer songwriter. We bond over our love of charcuterie, painting, and travel. If we are singing karaoke chances are she is singing "Zombie" by the Cranberries. P.S. She is also a published writer so if you want to talk books- head her way!
Groomsman
My boy Bugs. Romeo grew up with Sara before I even knew them. We knew who each other were in high school, but never really had a chance to get to know each other. After graduation, we went to the same (crappy) LA Fitness in Round Lake and reconnected. It started by talking about gains, then moved to playing Xbox til 3am laughing our asses off. This man even drove in a snow storm all the way to Grand Rapids to grab me from school when my car blew up. When he found out I popped the question, he called right away to congratulate us and ask all about it. A feat like that seems so simple, yet means the world. I am so grateful I can say I can always count on this guy.
Bridesmaid
Lana, the original hipster, and I met while pouring lattes at a coffee shop in Elmhurst, IL. Her creative (and mostly made up) stories she would share with customers had me struggling to hide my laughter. She loves being outdoors, exploring coffee shops, and volunteering. She is one of the most empathetic people I have ever met and is the best conversationalist. We sobbed the day she left me for the west coast but we have been able to stay in touch and visit each other picking up right where we left off! If you find yourself hammered at the wedding and want a tattoo- she'll stick-and-poke you on the spot.
Groomsman
East, often referred to (by me) as my older brother. Although Easton already has 4 blood brothers, we refer to me as the "5th Kowalski brother". Easton and I met at work and we have been through so much. Through bosses that were always around, to them never being around. Easton has always been a protective figure, similar to my own brother. His main goal in life is for his family and friends to have a good time and will not stop until that happens. He is a simple guy who won't try hummus, eats chicken and broccoli 95% of days, and loves anything Notre Dame.
