Karl and Sara met while playing lacrosse freshman year of high school. Decked out in smelly chest pads and a helmet the two of them were quick friends. Being that Sara was the only girl on the team and had never played lacrosse Karl was kind to show her the ropes. Within a year the two went from passing buddies to sharing cheese fries at the local Taste Freeze. After high school they attended College of Lake County together where Karl was a devoted sneaker head working at Nike and Sara kept busy playing volleyball and basketball. Junior year Sara transferred to Elmhurst College and Karl moved to Grand Rapids, MI to attend Grand Valley State University. Sara spent more weekends in Michigan than Chicago for those two years and senior year they were blessed to spend a semester studying in Perugia, Italy together. After graduation they struggled through their first full time jobs and continued to grow and change together. They are now happily living in Arlington Heights. They are most grateful for the communities their families have built and now in turn have the chance to build. Hoping to continue a life filled with good music, food, art, adventures and travel! High school sweethearts, like both of their parents, they cannot wait to tie the knot in Milwaukee, WI on July 2, 2021!
