FAQs

Here's some of our most asked questions but you can always reach out to MonksGuttWedding@gmail.com with other questions!
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi Formal Suits and ties and cocktail dresses of any length. We recommend heels that can handle grass & uneven pathways. As the ceremony will take place outside on the lake, we suggest bringing some warm options for chilly/breezy weather and maybe even and umbrella.. but hopefully you won't need it!! Also please feel free to bring a change of cozy clothes for the afterparty bonfire and for the lakeside activities on Monday!

Question

How do I book my stay at Migis Lodge for the night of Sunday May 28th

Answer

The best way to make a reservation to stay at Migis the night of the wedding is to use this link. ----> forms.office.com/r/ZQKFFeDbTY <--- Copy and paste this link to submit and confirm your reservation online. You can also find this link in the Travel and Lodging page of this website. Reservations can also be made by calling the Migis front desk if you prefer (207) 655-4524. The wedding couple will be assigning cabins/accommodations. If you have any special requests please list them and Migis will pass them along to us.

Question

How much does a cabin cost?

Answer

The cost PER PERSON is $153. Also be aware that in keeping with a long standing tradition, Migis Lodge only accepts payments in the form of CASH or CHECK. So if you are staying at Migis Lodge please remember to come prepared at the time of check out. If you forget, there is an ATM 4 minutes away at the Hill Top Mini Mart in Raymond, ME.

Question

Do we have to stay at Migis Lodge to attend the wedding?

Answer

Not at all! There are other options around Sebago Lake and the Portland area. We are able to accommodate every guest at Migis for the night of the wedding, but if you want to spend the long weekend in the area you may be interested in booking a vacation rental or hotel room. We also have a hotel block for 2 nights before the wedding in Portland for 20 rooms, so book it early! Further information is on our 'Travel and Lodging' page.

Question

Can I bring my Kids, Dogs, or Pet Rock?

Answer

Unfortunately Migis does not allow pets, so you will have to leave your furry friends at home or find pet friendly accommodations elsewhere. As for small children, although we love your little ones we'd like to give you a night off, so we politely request no children.

Question

How do we get there?

Answer

We had mentioned earlier that there was going to be the option of a shuttle bus from Portland to Migis and back, however we've decided to cancel the shuttle since the majority of our guests are going to be driving. Please reach out to us if transportation is an issue for you.

Question

How do I contact you?

Answer

Email us at MonksGuttWedding@gmail.com and we'll be happy to help answer any questions!

Question

What kind of activities are available on Monday the 29th?

Answer

Lake/Land Activities: Arrive at migis as early as 2pm on the 28th and stay as late as 2pm on the 29th to enjoy some kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, water skiing, tennis, frisbee golf, hiking, or just lounging by the water.
