Maid of Honor
Emily and I were pretty much destined to go from being cousins to best friends from the first day I was born. Being just a few months apart in age, Emily and I would do everything together with the help of Jake, Matt, and Nate. Through the years we continued to be side by side, often making up songs or filming our own version of a movie we loved. Here's hoping that for your sake we break out in song once more at the wedding!
Best Man
Anand has been my brother for as long as he can remember. I have watched him grow since I was seven, when I wondered exactly how much attention he was about to take from me, and now I know. A lot. He is funnier, cleverer, and more gregarious than I could ever hope to be, and I am proud to have him for my sibling.
Bridesmaid
Em and I first met in Mrs. Woliner's class in first grade, and we more or less haven't stopped talking since that first day! Over the years we've run several half marathons together, went to school near each other in Boston, and somehow both ended up with boys from New Jersey and weddings in 2021! I can't go more than a few days at a time without chatting with Em, and i know I can always rely on her whatever comes my way. Emily has also been so helpful in the early stages of planning of this wedding and we're so lucky to have had her help!
Best Man
A friendship forged in the fires of StarCraft LAN parties, AP US History / Bio homework, and of course World of Warcraft, Mike has been my closest friend since middle school, even though we couldn't see each other through our hair for a couple of years. Mike is 90% of the reason I was even interested in moving to Boston, and thank goodness he was here because without him, I never meet Monica. Mike will be doing us the honor of officiating our wedding,
Bridesmaid
Taylor and I first met in high school and very quickly became best friends. Our friendship has been built on all of the best things like iced coffee dates and driving Damien (Tays first car) to Borders to flip through the magazines and plan out our futures in Boston and Buffalo. We may be 7 hours away from each other now our friendship has only gotten stronger over time. Although postponing your wedding is never ideal, I feel extra grateful that Tay will be able to attend in 2021 now that Gracie Wells has been born and is already a year!
Groomsman
Kevin and I have been friends since high school, but nothing strengthened our friendship more than getting through our engineering degrees together. Kevin and I were experts at cramming for exams, which involved making sure we were fueled by the Wendy's Dollar Menu at 3 AM. Kevin is best known for his height, and his heart.
Bridesmaid
Marina, AKA Reeeen is truly one of the best friends a girl can have! Marina is another tried and true friend from high school and she's one of the kindest humans in existence. In the 10+ years we've known each other we've eaten all the best food in Saratoga, and made countless trips to Brooklyn and Boston to see each other. She's always the first friend to fix my hair or makeup, and she's always ready to listen when you need to talk.
Groomsman
Colin and I have been tight since we were in the 6th grade, when I found out that a non-Indian person in middle school watched Bollywood movies. Our little group was the one playing video games from sun down to sun up, while he and I shared real stress over the fate of the Celtics. His body of work makes him a man of impeccable taste in music and movies.
Bridesmaid
KJ rounds out the perfect Burnt Hills High School group of friends who will be standing by my side. I met KJ through Emily and Marina, but we became much closer my senior year when we shared a few classes together. In almost no time we were hanging out much more often. Talking with KJ is a guaranteed way to boost your mood, her stories and sense of humor always seem to make me laugh as well, and we even share dog siblings!
Groomsman
Brian has always been a close friend whose friendship has only grown as we enter adulthood. His abilities as a travel partner are unrivaled, and our trips together have always been a blast. Rosenberg has always put the pressure on when the rest of us when he visits because no one can host or plan a trip better than he.
Bridesmaid
Nancy is now officially my sister-in-law, and one of the kindest people I know. She and my brother Matt got married in the Fall of 2019, it was a perfect day to practice all of our dance moves, and I think they'll truly be perfected for this spring. From the first day Matt brought her home Nancy has felt like a member of the family and I'm so excited she'll be standing with me on the wedding day. Cheers to finally having a sister!
Groomsman
Ian has somehow hosted or been a part of every new years celebration in my adult life. Ian is where I get my opinions on beer, politics, and the weather. His dry wit and humor are legendary in the Wolf - Patel household, and is how we intend to model our interactions with our future children.
Bridesmaid
I met Kinjal early on when Raj and I first started dating, and I'll never forget how she made me feel like part of the family right away. Kinjal has this wonderful, outgoing personality. I'm pretty sure she can make friends with anyone, so I'm very glad she picked me! Since that first meeting we've enjoyed running together, eating amazing food around Boston, and I think I've even started to convince her that dogs are the best. I couldn't walk down the aisle without her!
Groomsman
Max and I went to college together and he and Billy were a big reason I joined our college fraternity. He has the ability to make friends with anyone and anything and I count myself lucky that he chose me. If he can learn to keep track of his phone keys and wallet, he will be a great man one day.
Brides-dude
Matt is my older brother and one of my very official "brides-dudes." Being just two years older than me, we grew up playing alongside our cousins Jacob and Emily and have thus transformed into very stellar humans. Matt is super smart, very funny, and annoyingly good at most games whether it's a card game, board game, or video game. In fact he can frequently be seen beating Raj in Super Smash Brothers when we're all in town. Matt's wedding in the fall was a blast, and we hope our day can live up to it!
Groomsman
Billy and I will forever remember toughing out hurricane Sandy at our very spooky college house. Some of the best memories however, come with breaking it down on any dance floor with this man, and thinking "does life get any cooler than this move I am about to bust out?". Probably not. Billy taught our entire college how to enjoy their youth.
Brides-dude
Nate is my younger brother and luckily he's now a Boston resident as well! He also holds the very distinguished title of being the only other human on the planet that our dog Fiona really likes. Although Nate used to describe me in his childhood as "very obnoxious" I think he's since come around to the idea of an older sister, and he can often be found trying a new restaurant in town with us or taking the dogs for a walk with us. Keep an eye out for his moves on the dance floor as well!
Groomsman
Aakash has been in my life since we were both in diapers. He has always been the one to keep his cool, whether we were two toddlers lost on the beach, or we were meeting new friends as adults. Aakash is the reason I have the amazing group of people from our dance group that I can readily call my family, and in high school he was mostly the one responsible for me doing anything social outside of video games.
Brides-dude
Jake is my older cousin, but he might as well be my third brother. Jake lives in Philly and works as a vet, so lucky for him he gets to be my first call whenever Fiona eats something she shouldn't. He also has several disgusting pet snakes but don't hold that against him! He really is a wonderful cousin and friend. Like with Matt and Emily, when we were growing up Jake could also be found writing absurd songs with us or filming what we hoped was a shot for shot remake of one of our favorite movies.
Groomsman
Jon is the guy who knows everything about everything, but the thing he seems to know the most about is how to eat good food. His uncanny ability to have the perfect menu experience is just one of the reasons we became fast friends in graduate school. He and I were able to get through graduate school through a very effective combination of instant pizzas, Bob Ross, and video games.
Groomsman
Brian and I go back all the way the 4th grade, and he was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Perrine Pike. We would often argue about who had the best air time on their mountain bike, or who had the best ollie on their brand new razor scooter (it was me), but nothing could stop this friendship juggernaut. Brian and I share on thing on our resumes and that's that we were on the front page of the Hillsborough beacon for playing hot cross buns at our bus stop and getting candy donations.
Dog of Honor
If you know much about Raj or myself, you probably know about our first dog Fiona. We've had Fi since she was a small pup in our first apartment together and through the years she's become our best girl. Unfortunately Fiona is not a fan of large crowds, so she won't be there on the wedding day but we'll certainly be sneaking her in for some photos.
Dog of Honor
Watson is our second pup and boy oh boy is he cute (see photo). Watson is a super smart friendly young dog, and he's already Fiona's best friend. Unlike Fiona, Watson wants to always be the center of attention and would probably love to be joining the rest of the wedding party on the day, but he'll also have to settle for being in just a few photos.
