John and Laura met in daycare and are still best friends 27 years later. Whether it’s playing with Laura’s Barbie dolls together or cheering each other on at John’s lacrosse games or Laura’s cross country meets, they’ve been through it all. As the man of honor, John will ensure Laura doesn’t fall asleep in the car and miss all the festivities.

Laura and Claire have been friends since elementary school! Despite a slightly rocky start where they were both convinced they were evil twins, they quickly recovered and were shortly thereafter staying up all night to try to win more points on Neopets. By the end of elementary school at Cathedral, their group of four friends (Laura, Erin, Kate and Claire) were “inseparable.” Taking photos together before prom turned to visiting each other’s colleges turned to an international jaunt across Europe post-grad. Claire and Laura both moved back to Baltimore after school and even ended up living together with MC.

Erin had the pleasure of growing up alongside Laura through elementary, middle, and high school. She cherishes the memories of listening to Taylor Swift on repeat, running Kill Hill intervals together, getting caught in the rain in Europe and visiting each other in our adult cities. It has been such an honor for Erin to see Laura shine over the years, and she is so excited to stand by her side for this next great chapter!!

From playground pals to soul sisters, Laura and Kate have shared everything from epic lacrosse games to cross-country visits, and now she’s beyond thrilled to stand by Laura’s side as she marries the love of her life!

Mary Catherine Lombardo

Laura and Mary Catherine met right before the start of freshman year of high school while trying out for cross country. They bonded over living near each other and then throughout high school biked or walked to absurdly far places that they thought were close to their homes (they were very wrong and sometimes parents had to come pick them up.) After college they got to reunite and figure out how to be adults together while they were roommates for a year. Now they sadly don’t live in the same place but many fun visits and reunions during holidays keep them going.

Meredith and Laura met freshman year of high school when they were seated next to each other in math class. Laura’s love for math and running balanced out Meredith’s dislike for both, but now 15 years later they’ve run multiple races together and bond over sharing bad race photos.

Laura and KC first met in high school when KC waltzed in as the new kid sophomore year. They quickly bonded over Muffin Monday, cross country runs, and their excessively high stress levels. They were lucky enough to continue the adventures in college! This included embracing a brief but never-forgotten Lily Pulitzer phase together, in true UVA fashion (as pictured).

Taylor and Laura met during their business school year at Wake Forest, initially bonding over their love of exercise (Bodypump bodies!). Both Drew and Laura helped Taylor during her long distance relationship by being “her couple,” aka she third wheeled them when her now husband was not in Winston Salem. Taylor and Laura continue to be a big part of each other’s support system throughout PA school and beyond, including being each other’s bridesmaid!

Olivia and Laura met through PA school at Wake Forest. They quickly found out that their moms knew each other and previously worked together! While PA school was challenging and stressful, the life long friendships that came out of it were well worth it. They both recently moved to the Raleigh area and are happy to be living close to each other again!

Laura and Lauren met in business school and then also attended PA school together. Lauren got to witness the very beginning of Laura and Drew’s relationship. Some of their best memories include spring break in the Bahamas, celebrating after PA school exams, and a girls trip to Scottsdale, AZ.

Meet Heather, a bridesmaid, and Laura’s cousin. Growing up together, they created countless memories, from family gatherings to summer adventures. Their connection has only deepened over the years, with the two always being by each other’s sides during life’s milestones. As they celebrate this joyous occasion, Heather is so excited to stand by Laura’s side on her wedding day just like Laura did on Heather’s wedding day.
