Things To Do

Downtown Cary Park

327 South Academy Street, Cary, NC 27511

We absolutely love going to the downtown Cary area! There is a fabulous central area with a dog park, outdoor bar, playground, and plenty of seating. There is even a large fire pit for chilly evenings and a farmer's market on Saturday mornings.

Lake Johnson Park

4601 Avent Ferry Road, Raleigh, NC 27606

This scenic 3 mile loop around the lake is one of Laura's favorite running spots. Bailey also loves swimming in the beach area! There are bathrooms and parking on site.

Raleigh Beer Garden

614 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27603

This is a large beer garden with a very fun outdoor minigolf course. This would be a great spot to hang out before the wedding on Saturday!

RBF, Your Authentic Champagne Bar

210 East Chatham Street, Cary, NC 27511

This is a cute little champagne and wine bar in downtown Cary. Whether you're looking for a fun drink or classic glass of wine, you can't go wrong here.

SideBar

215 East Chatham Street, Cary, NC 27511

This is one of our favorite little spots for a fun cocktail in downtown Cary. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, too.

Scratch Kitchen & Taproom

160 East Cedar Street, Cary, NC 27511

Scratch is a great local restaurant with a wide variety of options ranging from burgers and salads to classic Southern dishes and poke bowls (Laura's favorite).

Wye Hill Kitchen & Brewing

201 South Boylan Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27603

Wye Hill is a popular brewery and restaurant known for its scenic patio on Boylan Bridge in Raleigh. The views can't be beat!

La Farm Bakery

220 West Chatham Street, Cary, NC 27511

La Farm is a great French-inspired cafe and bakery. They have an abundant selection of fresh bread loaves, pastries, sandwiches, and brunch options and multiple locations throughout Cary and Raleigh.

Videri Chocolate Factory - Chocolate Bean to Bar

327 West Davie Street, Raleigh, NC 27601

A great place to learn more about the chocolate making process and sample some locally made, high-quality chocolates. There is also a fun arcade bar across the street (Boxcar Bar + Arcade) and bike-centric brewery (Crank Arm Brewing) next door.

FRESH. Local Ice Cream

138 East Chatham Street, Cary, NC 27511

This is one of our favorite spots for a local treat in downtown Cary! You can always smell the freshly baked waffle cones when you walk by, too.
