The highest tiki bar in the United States, Castaway's Cove is located right by the river and has fabulous drinks, poke bowls, and apps. It's owned and run by our dear friend Justin so tell him "hey!" if you stop in.
My mom and I opened Arabella Boutique on my 16th birthday and sold it five years ago to our friend Jodie! Stop in for some cute new apparel!
I essentially lived off of these cookies in high school and they are famous across the country for good reason. Right next to Arabella, this little cookie shop is packed with big flavor... you might end up stopping by every day for your cookie fix! Not to be repetitive, but it is also owned by dear, dear friends Lucas & Chanell!
Use the link to get 25% off bike rentals. Ride around town or utilize our amazing bike path and take a ride to Frisco. If booked ahead, you can schedule to ride to Frisco then have a van pick you up there rather than having to bike back (ideal). My favorite is to ride to Frisco in the late morning and stop at Abby's Coffee Shop on the end of Main Street for some ice cream, and then enjoy NOT biking all the way back when the van picks you up! There are great views of both the mountains and Lake Dillon- don't forget to bring lots of water and sunscreen!
If you decide to come early or extend your stay in Breckenridge, rafting is a great way to experience the Rockies! There are different trips for different levels and ages. Although rafting is a fun source of adrenaline, please remember to respect the river. Makay Note: Please don't book a rafting trip for the morning of the Rehearsal Dinner or Wedding :)
At the base of Peak 8, this fun park has something to do for everyone! If you are staying in town, take your hotel shuttle, or take advantage of the gondola views. The mountain coaster, climbing walls, ziplining, and chairlift rides are just a few of the activities available!
Need a quick lunch? Stop at Giamps for a sit-down lunch or pull a Makay and grab a $2.50 slice while you are walking around Main Street!
One of my favorite dinner spots for the cocktails and the chocolate chip cookie dish. If you eat here, please prioritize ordering the cookie dish.... thank me later.
Rolled ice cream that is just so stinking good- you'll want to go every day!
The most delicious, cutest little breakfast and lunch spot! A few of my favorites include the Opus (made with their house-made biscuits) and the breakfast burrito. Makay Note: Michael gets this breakfast burrito at least twice every time we are in Breck.
This used bookstore is such a treat and has been around since Makay was a kid. Enjoy getting lost in the winding aisles.
Enjoy an outdoor tasting at one of our local winery tasting rooms!
A little bit outside of town, talk to your hotel about getting a shuttle to the distillery. The home of Breckenridge Bourbon which you can now find all over the US. During the day it is a casual scene with outside picnic tables and food trucks. By night, a high-end restaurant that will absolutely blow you away.... if you can get in.
Home of my dad's favorite burger/fry combo on Main Street and my favorite poke salad! Great patio views.
Makay's younger brother worked at Hearthstone! It is a gorgeous fine dining restaurant that is primarily farm-to-table. With a gorgeous view from its patio and the fact that it's inside one of the historic homes in Breck, it's a great all-around experience!
One of our favorite views in Breck, this walking trail starts at the Snowflake Lift and is alongside the river the entire way. Great for all ages and conditions (easy hike), it ends at a gorgeous reservoir with incredible views!
The Peaks Trail starts at the top of Ski Hill Road by Peak 7 and goes all the way to Frisco! A great easy trail to get outside and explore. Go for a short distance or challenge yourself and journey all the way to Frisco!
Our local troll is an absolute must-see while you are here. The trailhead is right next to the ice rink and is short and easy for everyone to enjoy!
Right by the outlets, this is one of our favorite spots to fly fish. If you are interested in fly fishing, let us know and we will help connect you with a guide ahead of time!
