We recommend being seated no later than 4:15pm. As the venue entrance is small, guests will not be permitted to enter the ceremony once the bridal party begins lining up for the processional.
Formal. We're celebrating Black Excellence with Elegance! This will be a formal affair, please dress accordingly.
Glad you asked! In today's culture of cell phone technology, an unplugged event means that bride and groom have asked guests to put away camera phones and gadgets during the ceremony. This helps the photographers/ videographers to have a wide range of clear views and angles for the most amazing shots, and ensures that a mass of guests holding up camera phones don't appear in our professional pictures. While we are extremely excited to see all of the candid shots from our guests when the celebration is over, we just ask that you sit back and enjoy the moment with us and let the pros handle the rest. After the ceremony, you are free to snap away! Don’t worry! If you happen to forget, the officiant will kindly remind everyone during the ceremony.
Yes! We are currently registered at West Elm and Amazon. For those who would prefer to send a cash gift towards our honeymoon fund, we will gladly appreciate those too! You may utilize the HoneyFund link listed under our registry page, or send them directly to us.
In keeping with the intimacy of this special moment, only family members and close friends of the bride and groom are invited to attend. Your invitation will indicate the number of seats reserved for your party. Dinner seating has been assigned for guests who confirm their attendance.
No, our festivities have been curated for the enjoyment and entertainment of our adult peers only. While we love your little ones, we remain firm on this request to ensure a great time for everyone.
There is no parking lot at the ceremony, street parking only. Should you choose to drive, please arrive early to allot time to find parking. The reception site has a free parking lot. We recommend utilizing ride-share services (Uber/Lyft) as most points-of-interest within New Orleans are in close proximity.
Spring is festival season in New Orleans and one of the prettiest times to visit. Temperatures average from the low 50s to the upper 70s, but NOLA is no stranger to striving towards the 80s in March. Flowers are blooming, but expect occasional showers and some humidity. Be sure to pack a rain jacket or umbrella.
