LOVE AT FIRST SWIPE

2017 Mitch and Miranda met in 2017 while swiping on tinder. With no expectations or plans, the two met up and ended up spending a full 24 hours together. They were pulled to each other and didn’t want to pull away.. Mitch decided to tell Miranda, in the middle of a party she was hosting, that he wanted to make things official. Miranda thought it was bad timing, but she couldn't resist and a few days later they made it official. While visiting home for the holidays, the two spent some time in Austin with Mitch’s family. Mitch took Miranda to a brewery nearby (she may or may not have been 20) and they shared some of their first brews together. Mitch was so close to letting the three magic words slip all night, but managed to wait until they were home to share their first “I love you”s. 2018 - 2019 Mitch graduated university later that year and thus began their long distance adventure. Neither of them knew what the road ahead would look like, but both were excited to continue to explore the relationship. Mitch and Miranda would take turns commuting between Lubbock and Austin (a 6 hour drive) every few weekends. Miranda did not have a car at this time, so she relied on her good friend Madison to take her on road trips down to Austin. In 2019, Miranda had briefly moved to Dallas to start an internship, which allowed for shorter road trips to see each other. Little did they know, it was a glimpse into their future in Dallas. 2020 In Miranda’s final semester of school, Mitch surprised her by getting a dog, now known as Bella. Miranda couldn’t believe he would make such a big decision without her, but it ended up being one of the best decisions he’s made. Not two weeks later, the world was hit by a global pandemic and Miranda decided to camp out in Austin so they could quarantine together. Mitch, Miranda and Bella had tons of time together and they got some relief from the long distance life. Bella became the star of the household. She loved to cuddle and play fetch and she loved having both of them home all day every day. Mitch and Miranda were surprised how well they lived together, especially with Miranda living out of her suitcase. It gave them hope for their future of moving in together. After four months of squatting in Mitch’s apartment, Miranda decided to move to Dallas to start her career, restarting their long distance journey. They came up with a schedule that worked well for two working adults that allowed them to grow individually and together. 2021 - 2022 Miranda finally convinced Mitch to move to Dallas to start their life together and end the 3.5 year stretch of long distance. Finally, a family of three starts their life as a DINKWAD (double income, no kids with a dog) in a new city. Immediately they found amazing circles of friends and expanded their hobbies (little did either of them know, they would love dnd so much!). They were able to support each other without a drive between them! 2023 - 2024 On a couples trip to Mexico, Mitch got down on one knee to move to the next milestones in their lives. Although Miranda spoiled Mitch’s plans to get engaged at Chichen Itza by getting sick the morning of the excursion, he still found a way to make the proposal a beautiful moment. We were surrounded by beautiful sands, water and great friends! Thus began wedding planning and getting to know each other as fiancés. Mitch and Miranda have made a home here in Dallas. They have found many breweries that they love to share together and with friends. They thrive here together and they can’t wait to continue to grow together as a married couple!

It's incredible to think that our story began with a simple swipe right, but we've come a long way since we found each other. Thank you for joining and supporting us on this amazing journey!
